I have to confess, for the longest time I didn't know shit about Thrawn aside from a few basic common knowledge stuff, never read the old books, all I saw of him was in Rebels and I didn't like him much there... But last month I finally bought the first book of his 'new' series and also the comic version of it, and holy shit I really started to like him! (and him with Eli ehehe, they have such a lovely dynamic) But I also realised that hmm it would be really interesting to see him interact with Tora! And heck, there's a perfect opportunity for it! When Thrawn (still being a lieutenant at the time) just started to play with reprogramming old separatist droids, in a chance encounter he met this young stormtrooper who happens to be kinda a genius with anything computer related... In my writing I made up a bit of history for these first serial droids and their programming being more difficult than their later counterparts and Tora ending up helping Thrawn cracking into their codes.
Damn, my girl is really having the time of her life here hehe. She used to buy scrapped battle droid heads and parts as a teen during the Clone Wars and played with their programming, so she really knows what she's doing. I'm never sure if people know this about Tora, but her real talent is with computers, she's a master slicer and coding expert, but then shit happened and she ended up joining the Empire as a stormtrooper, giving up her real passion. But she still loves doing it so here when she had the opportunity to reprogram a difficult target, she was basically over the moon!
