No offence to all you 'Loud House' fans, but SpongeBob is by far ahead, simply because of its popularity, length of time it's been around, a unique approach and classic episodes.
I bet half the reason why the Loud House got so many viewers was because they turned over for SpongeBob in the first place, thus seeing the Loud House advertised,Β but I could be wrong.Β
I watched an episode, it was pretty decent; I may watch another to make sure I judged it right. Overall it may do well, but it may not. It just seems like one of those shows that will either slowly fade or get cancelled altogether.
It seems that the Loud House received something called 'beginner's luck.' Nobody had seen it before, as it was new to Nick.
Though on the other hand, just give it chance, I mean It's only just been aired. we'll know if people like the show if the ratings remain how they are.Β
I'm just stating facts and speaking generally. People may call on me now but, that's what's occurred with other shows in the past, and it can happen again.
What's with all the SpongeBob hate? I know many of you don't like the newer seasons as much as the older ones, heck even I don't, however newer episodes from season 9 are starting to get good again. People are saying that it would be better off cancelled? Now just stop and think; would it? I understand people's view of 'milking the cash cow dry,' but most people would be going crazy if it was taken off air.

The way I know, he's giving the kingship treatment, treating it like a brainchild and thinking like he's the "Flagship" of the cartoon industry, he has to go and out of the channel for good. But I doubt he'll die consider that brainchild is also the course of Nick's revenue too, but those revenues are not clean, they're dirty.
Let's pray that Loud House continue to dominate, but we must be careful, Loud House may have won viewership, but if Nick's brainchild is threatened, they will destroy Loud House too.

We can celebrate this moment when Loud won viewership, but be careful, the sponge is Nick's "Flagship" product, if it's threatened, they can axe Loud too. Pray that it will not happen, that sponge must die some day.

Not that I don't respect your opinion or anything, but I don't see how/why Spongebob is always accused as responsible for the cancellation of other great Nicktoon shows... :I

As you notice why Spongebob is everywhere, such as merchandise and even theme parks. But that show is so crappy, it does not deserve all the revenue from the trade business itself. Once you earn SO MUCH profit worldwide, if you & I are executives & bosses of Nickelodeon, you tend to treat that crappy show as a "Flagship Asset" or if not a Fixed Asset (Business terms, I once studied Basic Commerce, hope you understand). With all that money gaining, reasons are :
1. Spongebob is so bad, it requires very little maintenance
2. Other cartoons which are high quality, it requires high amount of funds to fund them, classifying them as liability. If some cartoons are even better but high in budget like El Tigre, fans love it, but we don't, we must axe the great quality shows in order for Nickelodeon to survive in the business, moreover, extra money and bonuses into our pockets.
3. As Spongebob being the "Best of the Best" and have tons of viewership as well as merchandise purchasing, our competitors from Disney & CN will do whatever it takes to keep up. Hence they will axe their great quality shows so they can create their own crappy ones in order to join Spongebob and compete fairly on even ground.
Yeap, all explained right here, corruption in the TV business & cartoon industry at its finest. To answer your question on the other great Nicktoons shows, it's all comes down to quality & budget, the higher the quality, the higher the budget to maintain, especially #2 is the big reason. What cartoon earns great revenue while achieve high quality, it may sound biased but I know them, it's My Little Pony. High Quality show, great merchandising which fans buy their stuff everywhere and so on, Hasbro's profit are ALL CLEAN! Whereas Spongebob are ALL DIRTY (Because they fight dirty)

Um... yeah... that really didn't answer my question, but then again, if you don't like Spongebob, that's fine. I'm always welcome to respect your opinion.
Though, I will also be truthful to admit that yes, Spongebob have had his bad times in some seasons, heck even in the seasons of his golden age days have had bad episodes, but he still holds a great part of my childhood even til this day. Not to mention that, if I recall correctly, people are saying that Spongebob is actually gaining some originally in recent episodes so far. :3

It already answers, why the hate? It's all there, even Tumblr already showed everything. I too used to like the show until a roommate of mine to hate it, they told me he's a kid in an adult's body, making us feel crazy, and lost its quality since the founder left the cartoon.
If you have read the Tumblr, the reasons are all crystal clear. But still, most important being that he is not competing on even playing field in the Business World, he is #1 in the market and will continue to eradicate others into oblivion, it's not US Election politics style, it's influencing others like cultists doing their magic to make others feeling weaker over time. Gravity Falls & Wonder Over Yander (Not sure of that show) did nicely, especially I love Gravity Falls more, but it did not last for long as it finally ran out of steam.
One last thing, Loud House, it was great that it won viewership over the sponge, but as far as toppling the king himself, I doubt it, Nick bosses see Spongebob as a "Flagship Fixed Asset Cartoon" or whatever, they can axe Loud House in order to preserve their reputation as well as their source of HUGE INCOMES, they are greedy for money and the sponge is their cash cow for their pockets

My roommate, it was a decade ago and so, he hates the show when he's mature enough to analyze the cartoon, he opened my eyes to see it clearer & explain a lot of things, especially analyze the characters. Then later he thought me to analyze the story, any morals and tell us the reason, and so on. Spongebob achieved none of those. I too, not just study one cartoon within, I also study the after effects if it kept on running for too long, and my fear confirmed, it spread towards the other cartoons in other channels, many of them today all became crappy in order to compete as well as earn revenue. Low quality cartoons have low risk while also easier to achieve more profit, high quality ones are high risk while reducing the chances to earn profit too.
Back at the previous topic, Spongebob has no proper story as many of them makes no sense, no moral to tell the message to viewers. Characters too, in the past were great but then when they changed into the later seasons, they became once great into horrible. I remember my favorite character is Sandy Cheeks, but sadly, everything all turned upside down.
Here's an example, my favorite Command & Conquer game franchise, I love the Soviet faction because of their brute force, as the developer continue with their crappy developments and changing ways, they turned my favorite faction from brute force into circus clowns. That's the same goes for the Spongebob characters, the past & present.
Lastly, Spongebob isn't the only virus, live action series is another. Ever since Disney's High School Musical started a decade ago, once it achieved success, I wasn't expecting for it to become a trend, which CN & Nick follow suit in order to compete, and guess what? It destroyed the channels once supposedly filled with cartoons now it becomes a 50/50 share between live action & cartoons (Originally it should be 20/80 , 80 is the cartoon).
