I used to really admire the Robotech style, so it's not insulting to me at all. Β 80s anime in general is my biggest inspiration visually, though I tend to feel like I struggle at capturing it.

This is stunning! I'm really fond of the shades along Zero's fringe; there's such a good depth on the strands with the cooler colours.
And with X it's lovely how you can make him look delicate but not necessarily feminine- especially with the subtle lashes. Love this!Β

Thank you so much. Β Also it's nice to hear that comment about X, since I do tend to want him to look a bit softer... but many people make him look like a child or something which I'm not fond of. Β (I'm likely also guilty of this) Β It's a hard balance to get haha. Β But I do love eyelashes, so I went with it.

I fully agree about how the majority of times X is drawn a lot younger looking in place of being a softer character and it probably contributes to my lack of care for him. I find, especially with your style, you balance him very nicely. You can give him big eyes and an innocent expression but still put enough attention in the curve of his jaw and the shape of his face to not make him look juvenile; it's refreshing.Β
