Description
Izanami, the unfortunately disfigured goddess of the Shinto underworld, Yomi. She looked whole and was in a loving relationship with her brother, Izanagi, before she died giving birth to their son, the fire god Kagutsuchi. Izanagi travelled to the underworld to bring her back and found her like this, half rotten and having taken over the realm. When he freaked out, she sent a horde of demons to chase him out of Yomi.
