I was just playing around in the character creation mode of Soul Calibur III and decided to make some Final Fantasy characters. From left to right on the top row are: the White Mage from FF1, Leila from FF2, Rydia from FF4, and Lenna from FF5.One the bottom row are: Locke from FF6, Squall from FF8, and Garnet from FF9.
I thought they turned out pretty good so I decided to snap them on my digital camera and post 'em up here for the hell of it.

and Final Fantasy, White Mage, Leila, Rydia, Lenna, Locke, Squall & Garnet are Β©Square-Enix

SCIII really pushes the PS2 to its limits. Saw some screenshots for SCIV recently. May finally have to get a PS3 when it comes out.

I've seen screenshots of SC's first branchout game. Soul Calibur Legands. I think it's more adventurous,like MK: Shaolin Monks. But i forgot if it's just going to be for the Wii or what.

So far, I think it's just on the Wii. On the other hand, I don't think they're getting SCIV. But it's still early. I'd be surprised if both didn't end up universal.

That's what they're saying officially thus far. I'll be getting a PS3 whenever I can actually afford one. Staying true not just to Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat, which may be multi-platform, but also to Metal Gear and Final Fantasy.

I'm FF all the way in rpgs. In fighting im into Soul Calibur,Mortal Kombat,Street Fighter,and Bloody Roar.

If you like rpgs, you should check out the Shadow Hearts series. It's the only rpg series I've held in higher regard than the Final Fantasies. The second game in that series, Covenant (technically the third, but the second with the Shadow Hearts name), is perhaps the best game I've ever played in the genre.

Sounds intresting. You should try this one rpg game i miss alot. It's called Star Ocean:The Second Story. That's one of my biggest favorites ever.

Only thing I hate that I forgot about my Locke is his gloves. Same for Squall - she should have had black gloves. I was going by pure memory for both. But as for the bandana, I always preferred the in game sprites in the old FF's to Amano's drawings

that's true, Locke's sprite did have sexy bangs. I liked Amano's everything else way more though, especially his Kefka. have you managed to make a Seifer yet? i've been wanting to make one

Never have tried a Seifer. I bet I could make a better one on MK7 than on SC3 for him. I hadn't thought much about the FF8 cast. Definite possibilities.

Garnet came out REALLY good. now that the real FFIII is out, you could get more ideas for the future.

Thanks. Man, every fighter should have character creation. I mostly like to do my own original characters, but this was a fun project. Now that I've got MKA, I did a similar thing in it creating Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa, and Lenna.
