Is it still fanart if it's your original character, but based off of someone else's storyline/mythology? I don't know how that works, so I put it under fanart to be safe. This is a shokan warrior maiden I created based off of the half-dragon race found in the Mortal Kombat series.My story for her is that she's Sheeva's mother, and Goro's favorite wife. Minerva was enraged after Sheeva was slain by Kano and Shao Kahn so many years ago. As one of Goro's wives, she was forbidden to fight and so her vengeance was left to the many others whom Kahn had left with ruined lives. Now that her daughter's been resurrected however, and the ones who killed her have resurfaced once again, Minerva is determined to destroy those that would hurt her family.
I doubt that Armageddon will let you create shokan characters, but here's hoping. I've heard they've included tarkata in that feature so who knows.

Hehe, hard to say. They portrayed Goro as heroic for a little while before showing him to be an antagonist again. Complicated characters, the shokan.
I wonder if any of them will be in the next installment? Loving the hell out of MK vs DC in the meantime.

Yeah, if they do a sequel I'd love to see some Teen Titans characters in the next one. Cyborg vs Jax would be a natural. And I'd like to see Raven and Starfire done in MK's art style. Their powers would fit very well into the Mortal Kombat fighting mechanics, too.

you can make a shokan in mka you just can't give them the four arms you can give them the hands and feet that much i know.

Yeah, you can make somewhat of a half Shokan, (I did a half shokan/tarkata once), but they didn't even make the hands and feet for the female models. But my dragon version of Minerva came out pretty well, I think. I really should draw her sometime. I'll be surprised if they don't make it possible to make proper shokans in MK8 however.

Unofrtunately, I've discovered that you can't create Shokan in MK:A.
Dammit, it's not fair. They give you the parts to make Tarkatans and even humanoid dragons, but not Shokan.

Yeah, I kinda wish they'd given you a way to make shokans. I don't see why they couldn't have made one of the arm accessories a second set of shokan arms or something and just had them match the upper set in movement. Nevertheless, I'm still very impressed with what they've done in MKA.
As for Minerva - I've made her into a gold dragon instead with a similar design and costume as above. I changed her story so that she's one of Orin's tribe and could sense when he was murdered. Knowing about Orin's role as Taven's guardian, she sought him out to learn the details. After hearing his story, she then took on a humanoid appearance before searching for Quan Chi in order to avenge her kindred.
She looks pretty much the same as far as hair, skin tone, makeup and clothing, but with the wings, tail, horns, arms and legs of a dragonkind. I plan on drawing the new Minerva sometime soon - when I take a break from the game itself.

Then again, with people going nuts about trying to unlock all the kodes for the mysterious "?" box in the Krypt... the possibility of there being parts in KAK mode for making a Shokan might be there.
So far all the codes found so far seem to unlock stuff in the Krypt that could be bought with enough koins, but who knows, someone might find a perfect unlock kode...
I mean, there's only about 2.87 million possible 6-button combinations, after all.
