The most elite infantry unit in the Chaos army. The most experienced troops. Veterans of the Long War. Chaos Terminators are the best of the best. Sometimes they assist Chaos Lord as his bodyguards.Models painted in 2007.

I think that as a unit they are good and cheap.
You can build "assault" type terminators (in Land Raider) like :
4xChaos Terminator
1:Chainfist and Combi-meltagun
2&3: Lightning Claw and Combi-plasmagun (champions)
4:Reaper autocannon/Heavy Flamer
accompanied with Chaos Lord/Sorcerer
or "shooty"
3xChaos Terminator
Reaper Autocannon/Heavy Flamer , 2xcombi-plasmagun/meltagun and chainfist
2 squads of "shooty" terminators + Icon (safe Deep Strike) can be sometimes really dangerous. (and cheap)
I recommend to test them before you buy them and find out your own combination ,but I think you won't regret it.

i think ill make them shooty and DS most of the time, cause i dont have a LR, i just have 1 rhino for my entire army that exceeds 1500, i might pick some up nxt month but i realy need a 2nd hq, and more rhinos

well ... I understand you. I've got more than 6000 points of Chaos Space Marines and the only transport vehicle I have is Land Raider.
During the 4th edition transport vehicles weren't as useful as in 5th edition (now transport vehicles get status : must-have).
Second HQ ? I recommend Chaos Sorcerer of Tzeentch with Terminator Armour and Warptime. Really interesting and good choice (Force Weapons are really deadly).
If you want to have Khorne Berzerkers ,I think you should buy one Land Raider.
... and Rhinos. Yes, you need to have a lot of "metal boxes" now
