So yea. About the whole journal when I said some things. I really did mean it. My interest in drawing ponies was so dead that I thought it was the end.Well apparently it came back. So I made this. I hope you all understand.
But yea, I am back on this account but I will probably not upload as frequently as I used to because I will still be using the other account.
Anyhow. This is Octavia who I just felt like drawing. I spent quite some time on it. I started with the sketch yesterday. I think it took about 2 hours or so.

Yay! Razley is back! And I am more than happy to critique your art and give it my praise!
First off, props for choosing best pony, I would like to address the detail put into Octavia's hair: marvelous work with the grain of her mane and tail, the wrapping of her mane around her ears is beautiful, as well as her eyelashes are jaw-dopingly gorgeous!
Second; the only reason originality got marked off is due to the similar poses Octavia is put in (but still good job)
Third, as usual Razley did an amazing job with his artwork (you go girl ;D)
Finally, this piece of art has signed the restarting of Razley's pony artwork channel; and I am very pleased that he is doing ponies again.

The eyes, music note and cello are very nice but I think you should have done more work on the body, mane and tail needs more work, it looks rushed and kinda makes her look like a street pony...it doesn't really look like Octavia because of this, the manes is too short and the ears are a don't go with it.
Otherwise I like the shading and the glowing effect of the eyes brings it out, this looked like it had the most work done, the cello is simple but goes with the eyes perfectly! I also like the treble clef design.
So don't feel bad, you did a fine job

Let me just explain a few things I think got misunderstood.
Eyes and Ears are my thing. Its sorta the way I make them look that makes my drawings unique. Its a trademark in a way.
Flashy eyes n' Large ears. Just the way I go and will keep on going.
You think the mane looks rushed? I actually spent most time on the mane and tail. I personally thought it was the best mane I've ever done so far but we all have our own opinions and I am happy that you shared yours with me to help me improve in some aspects.
