Description
Most of the proportions in this are based on your own body, so if you don't dig the way it looks, just try adjusting the proportions. I usually use 26ga wire, but for larger ones I'd recommend trying a thicker gauge. This is my first tutorial, so I hope you'll be forgiving! And I hope it's actually helpful!
This is how I made [link] these little guys.
Edit: Added a few key words. This is currently my most viewed deviation, I'm glad folks have found it helpful so far!

Armies of wire dudes rock!
Especially when you have a way to make them stand up, like clay around the feet or something.

As long as you keep his feet and hands flat to the page, sure! (they're rather skinny)
And fun to make!

Do it! DO IT! *using special mind-powers at you* It's super cheap, at least the stuff I use, $2 for a spool in the floral/craft section of Walmart.

Ha ha, this is so cute! I usually make these little guys for skeleton on my clay sculptures, but it's very difficult for me to twist the wire correctly. Now I can practice a lot!

Spiffy! I thought about doing something similar, but I've got no talent in clay.
I hope it's helpful.

Clay's great! You just put your hand around it and swish it 'til kingdom come.

Yeah, I've never really made anything that'd be considered 'good' with clay, but I did have a lot of fun. It's good stress relief. *squish squish squish*

With hands on hips, the wire guy has 'attitude'. XD
I can picture him raising his arm, and saying "Talk to the wire hand"

Thanks! It doesn't take much, and once you've got it down, you can make them itsy-bitsy.
I've made a few that were smaller than 1.5 centimeters. They make an interesting addition to jewelery, that small.
