Description hey boys and girls...

alright seen a journal go out from my buddy :iconmarcferreia: saying that the project he working on for was looking for a new colorist soo i thought i would throw my hat in the ring see what happens.

soo here is a quick look into my thought process on this one.... soo in talking to my brother from another mother i asked him what should i work on before i start really submitting to studios ...... haha one word SEQUENTIALS!!! which i knew but the second thing that he told me was to start workin on my storytelling and think about the page. when i color it color with a story in my head and try to take the viewer along for a ride....

so this was my thought and understand i don't know anything about the script or anything but in the first panel they are on a ship on their way to port and as i looked down i noticed that they are in like the artic soo you know you got to go snowing and raining right soo that is where i went with the first panel. the middle of the page i wanted it to look like it was all nice and mellow what ever before they had to head out into the snowy hill side to the building which are on the bottom panel...thus the reason i brought the slushy rain back soo that it would tie into the first panel...

so what you guys think? i hope you diggit

nice colors man, good snow effect but looks kind of weird that there's not snow in the 2nd and 3rd panels, first thing that I thought was that maybe those 2 panel wasn't the same place or moment, but I guess they are same moment and place. Also you may need to put some snow in the first plane too, just my opinion you know

Well really who's to stay in this page it is all in one day...know what I mean shoot I don't know maybe I should have did snow through the entire page but my intenion was to have the middle stand out from the top and bottom kinda like this....in the first panel they are traveling to their location then in the middle they got there and then in final panel they headin out....like I said to someone else it was a gamble and/or a working more on my story telling I think back now maybe I was trying or reading too much into one page...trying too hard to tell too much in one page I just wanted basically it to come across cold and errie .... with more on the cold part

ok I get it, then maybe a little snow in the other two, not so much like a rain like in the first an last, just to create unity you know, but again it's just my opinion

yes, that's right, it's look pretty cool the snow in those panels that you did but is about tie everything together better. You have to think this like a movie, it would be weird to see a heavy snow in an scene and next nothing and next a heavy snow again.

Looks good but the snow in one panel and only in part of the other is throwing the piece off a bit. Other wise not bad.

Well to be honest for me the snow/rain was kind of a gamble as well as an oppronunity to try the rain and snow which I have never done before... plus I am really trying to get better at telling a story with my colors on sequentails opposed to just coloring characters according to the required color scheme know what I mean....thanks for the comment

I think you'd put it over the character it'd work. What's there is great.

On the top or bottom....on the top I wanted that one dude to stand way out on the bottom I can see your point looks alittle weird was attempting to give the illusion of depth....lol didn't work to well I guess

The top is good the bottom is off a bit. The lack of snow in the others makes it seem like it's somewhere else instead of the same scene.

That'd really tie it together well.
