Description
Okay, for all the elitists who are commenting and saying "dis iznt teh grindcorez. u ish a pozer!" Please look at when I posted the deviation: October 3, 2008. Nearly three years ago! My music taste has since changed greatly and I recognize that I didn't know much about grindcore when I drew this. If you still want to talk about Assuck or Votsek or Brutal Truth (the later two of which I've seen live), we can do that but please don't be a jerk about comments I made two years ago.-------------------------------------------------------
Inspired by the wonderful pencil-sharpener avant-garde of Miss Nic Endo and a conversation with ~surfininsf .

This is funny though!

rcsi1, you obviously have know knowledge of music so stop trying to look sick by referencing anarcho-punk with gayass electronica bullshit. Nausea sucks huge shaft and Napalm Death is the only typical grind band you know.

Lol, I love how you judge my entire music taste based on a crappy comic I made two years ago.
Yes, at the time, I didn't know much about grindcore. (That has changed. I'm a stage manager at a punk club now.) However, I wasn't trying to look "sick" but simply talk about music (even if I wasn't doing a good job of it).
If it makes you feel better to think that you have so much more knowledge of music and that you are so much more "omg hardcore!" than me, feel free to continue feeling that way. However, being elitist towards comments I made before I discovered better music doesn't make you look any better than the supposed "poseur" I used to be.

you're obviously just an indecisive retard and a douchebag. no one cares about your gay little stage manager job homo. you have no knowledge of the meaning of elitist either, no one here is trying to be hardcore you moron i'm just stating facts. it's shitheads like you that make grind freaks look like stereotypical windmilling deathcore faggots.
p.s PUNX IS HIPPIES.

I don't think any grindcore band sounds like a pencil sharpener. People have told me that grindcore sounds like a pencil sharpener. I actually LIKE grindcore.
Gosh.

Depends on what you consider grindcore. Do you mean early stuff? More traditional or industrial influenced? Do you consider digicore grindcore? Any band I'll say, you'll probably call me a poseur.

What the heck is digicore? You mean mathcore? That all depends. Some mathcore bands are influenced by grindcore; while others aren't. I want to see if you listen to any plain straight-up grindcore.

And I like Nausea (though whether they're grindcore is debateable. I'm not used to having to label my music tastes.) Frankly, I can see why you'd be upset though. I get pissed when people think punk only consists of watered-down harmony-pop like Rancid .

I love Nausea, but I think they're definatly in the veine of crust punk.
I feel the same way. The matter of it is, their are ALOT of people who seem to think grindcore is synonymous with the dreaded deathcore (or some technical/brutal form of said genre). I asked this question on several other deviations, and I misstook you for the sceanster sort. My apologies...

Ah, murder's a fine bloody option

Oh, and again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

People tend to use terms like "death metal" and "punk rock" lazily. You get the idea that most of the people who use those terms all the time probably listen to a lot of power pop and anything louder than that is automatically one of those terms.
And believe me, I've gotten much worse shit. Being accused of not knowing about music isn't so bad.

Digital hardcore? The Eurpean industrial movement that combined early anarcho-punk with German industrial/electronica? Alec Empire(who isn't grindcore but is one of the better known artists in the movement)?
As far as grindcore, you're probably expecting me to say Napalm Death. Am I right?

You know it's funny, but I just remembered of the band Atari Teenage Riot and thought to myself, "Hmmm, I wonder if that's what rcsi1 was talking about".
Apparently so.

rcsi1 In reply to Rionn-Kross [2008-11-13 02:39:20 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. ATR is one of the better known ones. Probably because they lived up to their name and became associated with all those famous riots in Berlin. Them and KMFDM who were blamed for Columbine. They're pretty far from the most brutal or topical bands in that vein though.
