~Tooncouplefanatic is having a contest. You're supposed to pick a punk scene and draw yourself as part of it. I obviously chose California. (Mostly SoCal but there are a few Bay Area refferences.) You should all enter the contest. There aren't any countries besides the US and UK so far.

The hair (which you can't see very well because of the hat,) is refferenced from Lorna Doom of the Germs. The stupid hat is refferenced from just about every Bay Area punk who has male pattern baldness. The jacket is also refferenced from Lorna Doom but the patches actually started as a metal tradition that punk picked up. The dress is refferenced from Exene Cervenka of X and everything else is just my weird imagination.

I went a little crazy with the background as you can tell. I used a lot of staples to add to the "DIY" idea. Everything else (including the flyer) is just stuff that I had lying around.

And if you're wondering why I used browns and greens as opposed to red and black, let's be honest. Most of the great California punks were perpetually stoned.

And if you're wondering, yes, I AM a poseur.
