"As he slid through the alley, something caught his attention. He turned his head slightly. Out of the corner of his eye, Christian noticed a splash of color on the usually dirty-gray building wall. His body swiveled to face the spray-painted image.
The shape was recognizable: a flag. But the colors, the pattern… alien. It looked nothing like the flag of his country. The emblem and the dark colors were absent. No…
This flag was vibrant and colorful: red stripes and a white-speckled blue square. It reminded Christian somewhat of a candy cane. Christian's lips parted in astonishment. Something about this foreign image stirred a strange feeling in him."

For ~Topekachu 's contest. We're supposed to draw a scene from her story, "The Breakdown". I tried to draw ~Topekachu 's design but his hair got darker and the spikes became less visible once I shaded the piece. I love the how the last panel came out but I think I could have done better on the rest.
