You know what. It's not. It's just a Rainbow Dash with darker colors. Calling it a recolor is an insult to recolors.

Rainbine IS Rainbow Dash, only corrupted by a cyborg. (Hence the ears)
The corruption shows as a change in color. I don't know if this still makes Rainbine a cheap recolor, but I just wanted to explain it.

A recolor is generally described as having the same exact design scheme as an already established object or character, and merely swapping colors around. The vector doesn't need to have come from someone else.
"Rainbine" has a similar name to Rainbow, as the same exact colors in her hair except for the lack of purples. (Note, I said COLORS, not their shades or darkness), and has the same cutie mark.
