Description
When the Tallboys first appeared, we weren't ready for them. How could we be? We were barely scraping by after getting cut off from the Orion Arm when the Stargate crashed. We took our lumps, buried our dead, and pulled out all those weapons templates and warship blueprints from where they were collecting dust in the databases. Knowing how to build a frigate or a detonation-laser is all fine and good, but at the end of the day, you need the resources to build them. That's where we came in. Ceres Metals pledged to meet or exceed any raw materials quotas the Armada of the Mercer Compact set, and with our Prospectors and our Harvesters we set to work finding the rocks with the good stuff and digging it out and refining it for the Foundry Ships and the Orbital Factories to turn into payback. I can't remember the last time I got a furlough, but the thought of one of those Tallboy bastards nuking me or my family is the spur that goads me on.The large Harvester class mining ship prepares to dig its enormous mining bores into one of a group of three asteroids captured by an arid planet in the HM-23 0561 System. A Prospector class mining ship has already surveyed the rocks and marked out rich veins of materials, while a personnel transfer aboard a Bug Transporter is underway.

I'd love to have an answer for you, but this is probably centuries away at the rate we're going.

Well, I'm 65 right now, and according to a T-shirt that I want to get: "I plan on living for a very, very long time. So far, so good!"
