I think I have to say I like the first one better. The less color seems to add to the idea of the hero turning back on her past life as a hero to live a normal life. Where as the color seems to be just added...for more or less no real reason aside from adding it.

I actually like the dark/light contrast better on the first one. At least the way the two living people are illuminated at the bottom.
