"YOU ARE MY QUEST"My final art piece for this "Kubo and the Two Strings" Anniversary
and my final gouache painting for today
A wise man once pointed out how fitting it is that "While my Guitar gently weeps" is the movie's theme song. Truly, the story is a masterpiece that blends sorrow, joy and beauty so elegantly. It's a sad story of loss, but it's also a happy one about memories. And that really is the least of it.
Commentary: It's no coincidence that the shapes behind Sariatu and Hanzo look respectively like Monkey and Beetle If anything, I did it to make it feel all the more like his guardians and his parents were one and the same
More commentary: Painting Kubo's mouth was torture! Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so hard to get it just right, lol
