Looking back, I liked how Kubo using the power of memories to defeat his grandfather was the better choice. It made it all so meaningful that everything his parents taught him about building memories came back for the finale. More so than the armor, his mother and father posthumously saved his life! And that's the greatest gift you can recieve, for your loved ones to always look out for you. Even though his mother and father didn't appear for the final battle, in a way, they were there with Kubo when he took down the Moon King with the power of love.

Commentary: I think I could've stood to make Kubo's eyes and nose a bit darker. But at least his hair highlights are bright again! I liked how the barrier and the villagers standing with their loved ones' ghosts turned out! It's a beautiful testament of how our love for our families and their memories keeps them close to us, even after they are gone.
