It's the 20th Anniversary of "Red Dragon", a story of depravity, violence, and death

...but that's not why I drew it.

I drew it because, what else, I'm obsessed with "Kubo and the Two Strings" art! And it fascinated me that the Moon King's voice actor was the main antagonist of a story where he was a "dragon". ...okay, so it's not THAT kind of dragon, but I decided to make art of it. And here it is.

Commentary: I decided to add a red moon to fit in the with theme of a red moon beast. Drawing the tattoo on the Moon King's back was quite an interesting endeavor because one has to be aware of the contours along the spine and shoulder blades. Also, in keeping with him being a red dragon, I made the moon beast shades of red, orange, and silver, to invert his usual blue and gold colors.
