Description
Pretty much how I felt when I finished ME3. I guess it's personal preference but I could never see synthesis as anything other than genetically raping the entire galaxy. That and it would mean stopping evolution in its tracks, which defeats the point of anything existing in the first place. Sorry, I'll climb off my soapbox now.Related content

There is no good ending to MA3. Control Has the possibility of restarting the cycle over again. And for people like me who love edi and the geth and worked to save them. Β Suddenly genociding them just felt wrong. So I chose synthesis. People go on and on about choice. Humanity and other races didn't choose Β to become gene cyborgs. Well then I say this! did you ask the geth, edi and other synthetics how they felt about being the sacrifices.Β
Destroy in the end has just as much if not more of a chance of restarting the cycle anew when someone makes ΓΌber powerful synthetics (and they will) the cycle will restart.Β
At least in control shepherd (or some version of them) has control and may not restart the cycle.Β
Synthesis gives EVERYONE a chance even the reapers. Β

my line of thought too, also
Control = What Illusive man wanted
Synthesis = What Saren wanted
Destroy = What Anderson wanted
i'm going to take space dad's side on this one

Huh, that's one crazy yet true way of viewing the endings. I had no choice with mine (destroy) and I was kinda disappointed, but you made it such more enjoyable.

It was the best option - the Reapers should not have been allowed to endure under any circumstances.
As you point out, controlling them not only severs Shepard's ties to humanity (and without that tie, what's to stop him reaching the Catalyst's conclusion some day anyway?), forcing him to give up everything that makes him human, but the act makes him no better than the Illusive Man himself.
The Synergy option is even more sinister to me. How can anyone go through the game eschewing decisions that affect entire races (destroying the rachni, etc) just to play god and completely rewrite everyone's DNA?! I'm sure most of humanity, I.E. the people you're supposedly trying to save, would have something to say about that!!
So yeah, definitely for me the Destroy ending was the best. If anything, it was the only ending that truly felt like a victory!
Yeah, there are casualties but it's a far cry from the annihilation the Reapers would've brought about. As far as the synthetics go, if you're sad about losing them JUST BUILD MORE! THEY'RE MACHINES!!! Or then again, maybe you should learn a lesson from the Reaper threat and stop messing about with synthetic life to begin with! >.<
Rant over. Great comic, by the way.

I think joker and edi would disagree. The geth too.Β

One man, his sexbot and the race who sided with the enemy? Who cares what they agree with?

I used the destroy option, and then I realized by doing so I killed EDI. I still think it's the best option though.

I didn't mind Control after the extended cut (the speech Reaper Shep gives gave me chills - in the good way) but Destroy is the only 'right' ending for me. I'm not much one for the 'if you can't beat them join them' mentality.

yeah I just wanted to send the reapers to hell destroy was the only option for me, The EC I couldn't go through that all again to see 15mins worth of clips I downloaded it but decided to watch them all on youtube first I like/dislike the refuse ending in a way your saying F*ck you reapers I'll do it my way and die trying, while I hate it because Bioware/EA are saying F*ck you for not liking our artistic integrity still don't trust the Control option, Synthesis sucks and Destroy is the only one you live I must have a glitch since EDI and Geth show up in my Destroy ending???

Oh, I highly recommend them! The endings were terrible, but the 99% of the game is fantastic, so the series (and Bioware in general) is still among my favourites.
