Description Character:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheza is the witch woman of ancient Nemrut, on South-Eastern Anatolian Penisula. She was once the Matriarch who ruled over the entire region; however, as the patriarchal power of the district grew, she was eventually forced to reside in a cave on the cold and barren peaks. (This explains her grumpiness.) Several attempts are made by the early Patriarchs to claim her life, and during one such attempt she lost her sight.

Yet, she was eventually able to partially recover herself, and managed to control the region nearby her cave by her mystical power. It is an entire unknown where she gained such power. What we do know is that she is able to communicate with the dead, and recast them in spirit form. It seems that she also has certain power over the future, but we are not sure.

It seems that her 'Golden Eye' sees the world of the dead, and her 'Green Eye' (with the iris) sees something about the future. Although Cheza is technically blind, she is not oblivious of the world around her. Much evidence suggests that her twin hound, Niel and Kiel, serve as her eye of this world.

Some information:

+the dogs and gesture are inspired by a advertisement in Elle's December 2006 issue.

+the woman, hopefully, is out of my imagination. (I would definitely not like to meet her in THIS world.)

+I would also like to thank Zubair for scanning the drawing for me.

great concept! Good proportion all in all. It could use some work, but then so could most of my artwork.

thank you...most times I start my work in small sketch books, and realize I can't have as much detail as I would like to

I'm amazed by some of the drawings I've seen here on deviantart. I've asked around, and the best artists tend to be ones who find just the right paper for superior hatching and stippling. Someday I'll hunt down that paper and see if it doesn't help my work...

hmm...I can assure you that sketch book paper is NOT the type.

When I do my penciles though, I find regular drawing paper quite good. Besides that, I usually start my drawing with softer pencil, and work my way to harder ones. Adding details with a H pencil, or simply giving a layer of H shade on the part I wish to emphasis helps making the drawing sharp and finished. I'm sure you know all those already though.
