Description
...Actually, I like to call him, "Cerby." When you can do art for a class project in place of a second report, whatcha gonna do? Make a sculpture. And yes, I names the heads. "Sussy" (short for suspicion), Fang and Snarls.Related content

Yes, thank you. It takes a lot of practice, but I've fooled with sculpy for years. Try it, you might be surprised.

Even with the armature, those snakes must have been really difficult to make!
Nice work!!

Thank you!
Actually, not too bad. (Admittedly, they're poorly detailed, but it's hard to tell from the shots.) The snakes each had seperate armatures and I sculpted them individually. After "Cerby" was far enough along, I stuck the wire-end of the snakes as deep as I could into its back, and sculpted additional coils around them.

Wow, once agian thank you! Considering your sense of form, I'd be surprised that you'd have trouble with sculptures. Your sense of 3-D in your work is astonishing.

Thank you! Took me a while. I wish I had head-shots on the thing. (Digital camera would be nice.) For once the camera made it look better than it actually is.

Thanks! I hated those teeth... I don't know how many times I had resculpted them.
Not including the wooden base, about 7 inches (To the top of the highest snake).

*Blush* Lol, well, I used wire (I don't remember what type) and aluminum foil for teh armature, following a sketch, and I did the rest with super sculpy. I then painted it with acrylics and added an acrylic gloss to parts of it. Yes, I did the bust. Thanks!!!

Wow, very impressive sculpture! What's it made out of? I've done a few using sculpey, but I don't quite have a handle of this level of detail yet. Great expressions on all three heads...just...wow.
