Description Sasori looked back at the blond in time to see the pout before the hand was pulled back as Deidara looked away. Ah. So he had been meant to take the hand... Oops. Well, that was one mistake of many to pass and many to come. Not a big one, though... Right? Eugh. Hopefully not... He didn't want to screw things up so soon, no matter how apathetic he might seem about it all. Actually, he didn't want to screw it up, at all - though he was sure something would happen, some time in the future, whether ir be near or far...

Though he'd have to keep himself focussed more on the present, now, wouldn't he? Thinking too far ahead and getting apprehensive about things that may or may not happen can even fool up a puppet, surely.

He observed the reaction his single-worded answer had earned from his partner, inwardly sighing in mild relief. Well, at least that hadn't been a mistake. 'Least he hoped it wouldn't turn out to be... But that was for the future to reveal, damnit! Present, keep your mind on the present! ... Geez, he over thought these things too much.

Though he was gaining a little bit of confidence, now. Um... Sort of. This relationship thing didn't seem to be too hard. 'Cept for those things he just didn't know... See the earlier hand thing, for an example of such. Neh. He just had to make sure he avoided calling the blond a brat - who knew how long 'til he slipped up, there? It had gotten to be quite a habit - and he had to be nice...

He smiled ever-so slightly when the sculptor spoke again. 'It'll be fun', eh? "Yeah..." Hopefully it would be. Just needed to keep his earlier thoughts in mind... Just seconds later, a distinct pop - with a slightly mechanical edge to it - sounded clearly through the kitchen. The red-head, for one, didn't need to look and see what it was. It was kind of obvious. "... Your toast is ready."

Deidara was now, also trying to keep his mind off anything that might happen in the future. Yes, hoping for something that might not even end up happening would just be…urgh. It was easier said than done though. How was he meant to stay focussed on things going on at that point only? His breakfast didn’t really seem like the best thing to think about at that moment. Hm…he could always think about what had happened before…wait…no...that just might end up upsetting him again. The blond definitely didn’t want to get upset after he had managed to bag Sasori. Actually…“bag” wasn’t really the right word to describe it, was it? Hm…what else could be a better phrase? He’d managed to get Sasori to go out with him? Yes…that was pretty decent.
Hm…he wasn’t being too talkative was he? Was he just trying to add to the tension…or did he not want to think? ARGH. Enough with the wondering about everything. It wasn’t helping. At all. So, instead of adding anything to that, the sculptor just nodded, still grinning away, trying to stop himself from thinking about how the date would go. Once again, it was easier said than done. Very much so.
At the po that he was pretty sure came from the toaster, he tilted his head to the side to glance over at the machine. And sure enough, the toast had appeared at the top. ‘Un,’ he nodded again, getting up to retrieve the first part of his meal. He opened one of the cupboards and took out a plate, placing it down next to the toaster. He then proceeded to take the toast out of the toaster and quickly put the pieces onto the plate, trying not to burn his fingers in the process.
Once that was done, Deidara walked back to his seat, sitting down with the toast. ‘Thank you, Danna,’ he grinned before taking a bite out of one of the slices.

The red-head watched as his partner got up to retrieve the toast before turning his eyes back to the tabletop. Hmn.... Ha, he actually had a question, now! Something to actually say. He had been rather quiet, hadn't he? Too much thinking - it was a wonder he wasn't buried under his thoughts, yet.

Sasori watched the blond sit back down at the table, nodding slightly at the 'thank you' before peering over at the clock for... What, probably the dozenth time? Neh. A little under either minutes to go... Mmn. Now, how should he word his little inquiry? ... Overthinking, again. What was wrong with just asking what was on his mind? It wasn't offensive or mean or anything, and it didn't contain the oh-so fun b-word. Plus it was a genuine curiosity. Though what if it ended up being an awkward question or something...?

Sigh. Well, whatever, right? Once again, he looked back over at Deidara, pondering over his question a few more times before finally putting it to words. "That... Date," he began, refraining from pausing to rethink it again. He really needed to stop doing that. "What are we going to be doing...?" There! It was asked! Now to await an answer, hm? Though it probably would've been polite to wait 'til the blond was finished his toast, but... Eh. Talking while eating couldn't be too difficult.

Deidara had been taking his final bite out of the first slice of toast when Sasori began speaking again. Well…whatever he was going to say…he was speaking. And it concerned that date. Ah, damn, was he changing his mind? Urgh, stop thinking too far ahead already. Actually, he was thinking a few seconds into the future. Still, he shouldn’t be doing that.
He awaited the end of the question, not even leaving enough time to taste the toast, let alone chew it. If he was eating the toast like this, he was going to have a fair bit of trouble with the soup, wasn’t he?
What were they going to be doing? Hm…good question Even the blond didn’t know the answer to that one. He raised one hand up as he carried on chewing as a silent signal for the puppeteer to wait. Once he’d swallowed the rest of the food he looked up to the ceiling. ‘Uhhmmmm,’ he mumbled, leaning back in the seat, reaching for the second slice of toast. ‘I’m not sure myself, but we could go to the village and see what there is to do there, un.’
Hmm…maybe there was a plan of the village in the bookshelf. That would be a big help if they wanted to know what they were going to do.

Sasori watched as Deidara raised one hand up as he continued with the toast. Wait? Yeah, it'd be kind of disgusting for the blond to answer with a full mouth. The red-head shifted slightly in his seat, for once not bothering to look over at the clock. He'd taken to counting down the time in his head, instead. Kept his thoughts from wandering onto troublesome topics and all that, though it was just a little distracting to do while sort of talking to someone, afterall. 'Specially when you're trying not to mess either thing up.

Though he switched most of his attention to the blond when he began to answer. Neh? He wasn't sure? Tch, of well. The thing that followed after that seemed fair enough. As long as the sculptor didn't drag the both of them to something annoying... Or if they found a fireworks shop or something... Eugh. The thought made him mentally cringe...

He nodded slightly, thoughtfully, at the answer, mind drifting back to the silent countdown for a moment before splitting off into two. One branch of thoughts continued the countdown, while the other went back to trying to remember if he'd seen anything interesting at the village at all when they were last there. Of course, he hadn't been paying attention to much, so his mind... Sort of drew a blank. How nice. Neh... Well... They'd find something. Now came another question... Heh, he was starting to get a little talkitive, finally, wasn't he? "All right... Do you have a specific time in mind, then?"

Deidara carried on thinking up some places that they could go. Yes, he had thought about a firework shop, but to be fair…he didn’t want to go somewhere like that. Sasori hated his explosives after all, right? To him it would be as interesting as watching paint dry. What else was there? There were a few restaurants and bars, but once again that would be one way. Only the blond was capable of eating and drinking. Hm…a takeaway meal he could eat whilst they walked around sounded much more appealing.
Then that thought stuck him. This was going to be a one way relationship, wasn’t it? The puppeteer wouldn’t be able to feel anything. It would only be the sculptor who would be able to detect such things. Well…that sucked. But hopefully there was a way to get around that. Even if it may be a little bit difficult. He’d have to question his partner about that later.
Time…hm…‘Half seven maybe? That way it’ll still be light when we go and there’ll be plenty of time, un,’ he stated. That, and there’d be plenty of time before that to make himself look a bit more presentable. Yes…after his “breakfast” Deidara would go have a shower and then get dressed. He’d leave getting ready for the date for later. ‘And we could dress up all nice, un,’ he giggled, rocking back in his chair in a childlike manner.
Ah…snag. If both artists left the building like that surely it’d look slightly suspicious. A little annoying if they were trying to keep this all a secret.

Fifty seconds. Almost another minute had passed, so that made the wait decrese to nearly seven minutes... Still over half the total time... Tch. Maybe time was going so slowly because he was keeping track of it... But if he didn't keep track of it... Erh. Nothing would happen, really. Rice was good like that. Could be kept on the stove for a while and would still at least stay moderately warm...

Ah! Deidara was speaking again. Or, more accurately, answering the question. Sasori, as per usual - recently, anyway - turned most of his attention to his partner. Neh. Half seven... Sounded fine, as did the reason. Though, now he had another question. Three in a row. He was on a roll, wasn't he? He rose a brow all-too subtley at the last thing, though. 'Dress up all nice'? Erk. Just the word 'dress' brought back horrible memories... Well... Not too[/i[ horrible. But, anyway. Surely that wasn't what the sculptor had meant...? ... Yeah. They'd look [i]really sweet waltzing out of the house dressed like a pair of trannies like they were during the whole fairy thing.

Oh, he could just hear Hidan laughing 'til he choked. And the name calling...

Though the blond most likely didn't mean that kind'a dressing up... Eh. Hopefully not. The puppet watched his partner's childish movements for a moment before nodding. "All right..." He shrugged a little. "Sounds fine. I guess. Two things, though...," he mumbled. Clarification was a must, and then that question... "What do you mean by dressing up nice, and... We're going to be walking, right?" What? He still had issues with the very thought of flying...

Another bite was taken out of the slice of toast whilst Deidara was thinking about what he was going to wear. He didn’t really have any good clothes. Just uniform trousers and fishnet and low cut tops. He’d have to make do with them, but vary them a little. Ah, whatever. He might have something else lurking around that he’d never taken notice of that he could wear.
Hair…well…that could be easily done. Make-up? Hmm….Itachi might have some in the bathroom. Hopefully anyway. He’d need it if he wanted to look presentable.
Cerulean eyes met red again when yet another question was asked. No, wait…two. Dressing up nice. He blinked slowly. Well...it was pretty obvious. Was the red head just being awkward again? Nah, he probably did want to know. ‘Like in the movies,’ the sculptor replied. ‘When they spend ages getting ready for a date. They wear nice clothes, make their hair all nice and try to impress the person they’re going out with, un.’ Hopefully that explanation got the point across.
Now…walking. Well…of course, the blond wanted to fly. It might still be muddy outside and it would be quicker too. But he’d have to respect the puppeteer’s wishes. He wasn’t a good flyer after all. He puffed up his cheeks slightly before taking the final piece of toast in his mouth and swallowing it. He nodded reluctantly. Meh, walking there and back couldn’t be that bad could it?

Eh. 'Like in the movies'. There was just a slight problem, there... Sasori never did bother to come down to watch said type of movies... And if he did, he never really paid attention and wound up going off to do something else within the first few minutes. But... Might as well not point that out, lest Deidara get it in his head to have a random movie moment. He did not like the idea of having to sit through one of those sappy, icky movies, assuming there were even any around or on some odd station... Eugh.

But, the explaination was clear enough. It seemed a mite bit silly to him, though... What was the point of all that stuff? What was the point of trying to impress the other person if...? Ah. Screw it. He'd play along, for once, without asking. Though the whole getting ready bit might make the other members wonder just what the hell's going on... Which could get a little awkward...

"I see..." The red-head nodded once, slightly, then smiled a little when the blond nodded in response to the second question. Good, good. They were walking. Though he did notice the blond's reluctance to the gesture. Hmn. He most likely wasn't going to be going in Hiruko, despite how paranoid he may be outside of it, so... Bah. If they did fly, he'd have more balance and whatnot than he did last time. The only problem was the height thing. Easly solved by not looking... Meditation, maybe... "... We can fly if you want to, though." He shrugged slightly. Neh. Other than falling who knows how high if things got screwwy, what was the worst that could happen?

Ah, so he understood. Good. It meant Deidara didn’t have to go into immense detail about the reasons for getting dressed up nice. Really, it was an automatic thing. For a date you have to look nice because it’s a special occasion. Like Christmas. Well…maybe not exactly like Christmas, but dates and Christmas were both special occasions. Even though Christmas tended to be a tincy bit more important.
Anyway, the blond nodded and began collecting all the excess crumbs off the plate that had previously held his toast by swirling his finger around. It gave him something to do whilst waiting for his soup and rice anyway. He turned around to look at the clock. Hm…well…that was helpful....seeing as he didn’t know what time the food had started cooking. He’d pretend he did anyway, just to seem smart.
Wait…what was that? They could fly if he wanted to? He beamed and nodded his head frantically. ‘I’ll make it go slower if you want,’ he insisted. ‘Oh, and we won’t fly so high so that if you do happen to fall the trees’ll catch you, un.’
A cute little mental image of some trees putting their branches up like arms to catch falling puppeteers began to fill the sculptor’s mind.
Ah, wait…suggesting what would happen if the red head did fall wasn’t a very good idea if he wanted to fly there. ‘But you probably won’t fall anyways coz I’ll keep ahold on you, un,’ he added quickly, giggling a little at the end. So…really, if Sasori did so happen to fall then Deidara would go down with him. Well…that was nice.

For a moment, Sasori simply watched the blond, counting down the seconds in his mind as he had been doing for the past... Two minutes? Or was it one? Oh, whatever. The count had reached down to six minutes, unless his miscounted somewhere, which was actually rather likely. Mmn... Maybe he should add a minute, just incase...? Or half a minute. Okay, to the count was six minutes and thirty seconds, so far. Somewhere around there...

Ha. It seemed Deidara was happy about the we-can-fly-if-you-want thing... Good. 'Cause - wait. Aha... The puppet gave the sculptor a subtle little 'look'. One that wasn't exactly all that amused despite the amusing thought of trees catching people the words brought to mind. Yeah, already he was regretting having said they could fly and was so very close to taking it back... The other thing his partner said didn't exactly help that much, either. "... The only reason I said that,-..." Whoa. Almost said the b-word. "... Was because I'll be out of Hiruko and won't be as... Encumbered."

He paused, shifting to look over at the clock for a moment before shrugging. "I truly doubt I'll fall or need help staying on," he pointed out, though wasn't as confident as he sounded about that. There always was still a chance, right? Though if need be, he'd just anchor himself with chakra strings or something... "... By the way, the rice will be done in exactly..." Another short pause, before he turned his attention back to the blond. "Six minutes... Incase you were wondering."

Sasori wasn’t going to be inside Hiruko? Even better! That meant that Deidara wouldn’t have to complain and beg for him not to take the puppet armour…thing. It looked like the puppeteer was facing two fears at once now; venturing outside without wearing his puppet armour in case an enemy were to attack and being in a relationship. It’d be running through a burning forest to kill a bunch of lumberjacks next.
Well…maybe not, but it would be quite funny.
The blond’s mind was beginning to fill with cunning plans of flying at ridiculous speeds, performing crazy airborne stunts and landing in a similar way to their last little shopping trip to see if the red head still thought he wouldn’t fall off or need help staying on. No. He wouldn’t do that. He’d managed to get his partner in a relatively good mood and he wanted to keep him that way. Doing something like that might make the puppeteer demand they not go on the date and return home.
Six minutes….six minutes. What could they do to kill six minutes? The sculptor looked back at the clock and then to his partner. Hm…he had a plan in mind, but wasn’t sure if Sasori would react too kindly. He stood up, picking up the plate and putting it in the sink. He washed his hands, cleaning off any of the crumbs that were still clinging to his skin. ‘We could make out,’ he suggested, trying to hold back a giggle. ‘It would give us something to do while we wait, un.’ Which it would…really.

... Of course... heh. Sasori's mind was thinking up several sneaky little things, as well. Like, for instance, wearing Hiruko, anyway, and just henging so it didn't seem like he was. It would be a nice little work around... Right? And Deidara wouldn't be able to tell the different, he was sure about that. Hell, he hadn't been able to tell with the whole Tobi thing last time they went to the village... Okay. so, that was out of the way, if he managed to sneak into Hiruko without the blond noticing.

'Course, such could be considered cheating, to some odd extent. Though, he had said he wouldn't be going in hiruko... He didn't say he promised not to. Yum, loopholes. Though, travelling without the non-living puppet would probably be good for trying to get over that whole paranoia thing... Tch. He'd decide on whether or not to go with this little idea, later.

The red-head watched the blond stand and head over to the sink before turning his attention back to the clock. Five minutes and fifty three seco-... If the pupet were human, he'd probably proceed to choke on his own saliva or something. 'Kay. The sculptor's suggestion was just a little forward, wasn't it? He turned to glare half-heartedly at his partner before rolling his eyes. "... I think I'm just going to find something to read..," he mumbled, standing as well before heading for the kitchen door.

And Deidara was still pretty pleased that Sasori was going to go without Hiruko, unknown to him, the puppeteer’s plans of fooling him. Still, he assumed that there wouldn’t be anyone to attack them anyway. The last time he’d seen anyone else in the forest on the way to the village was some ripped up dude who had been beaten up and dumped in a ditch. Ah…wait…now…that was a good reason for Sasori to use Hiruko on a regular basis when they ventured outside the house. Still…he was an s-rank ninja. If any kids decided to attack he would surely be capable of killing them all in one swift move.
Ah…shit. Shit shit shit. That had really been a bad move. The blond bit his lip, thinking over what he should do next. He could just stay where he was and just let the puppet go and get something to read or he could try and make out with him anyway.
Yeah…well…maybe suggesting they make out was a little forward after all. Maybe “practice kissing” would’ve seemed a little less forward.
Ah, screw it. He moved over to his partner and grabbed his hand, tugging it a little. ‘Just one?’ he asked, pleadingly hoping it might work. ‘Just a little one, un?’
If he refused, he’d still follow him out the room anyway, persisting. And he was curious what else there was for the red head to read.
‘Please, Danna?’

Tch, he had been so close to leaving, too. Sasori stopped when Deidara grabbed his hand, turning to face the blond. Persistant, wasn't he? Giving the blond the most apathetic look he could muster at the moment - which was pretty damn apathetic, really - the puppeteer was silent... For a moment, to think. Hmn...

He was pretty sure he knew what the sculptor was asking for, there. It was sort of... Well... Obvious, given the previoud suggestion. So... question was, should he? Should he say 'yes' or 'fine' or some variant of... Or should he just continue on to the livingroom to find a book to read like he had planned to? Or, better yet! Should he just be plain difficult? Heh... Why the hell not. Maybe if he made the situatin a tad bit awkward...

Although it could wind up - nah, it would wind up making him look a bit stupid, the red-head decided to go with the last idea, anyway. The apathetic stare was replaced with subtle confusion, though it barely showed, really... "'Just one' what, Deidara?" Complete with a slight tilt of his head, he managed to look rather, well... Clueless. Naive, maybe. Now to hope the blond was blond enough to buy the little act! It would be annoying if he saw through it - it would probably lead to an annoying question or two, or whining, or something... Eugh...

Deidara puffed up his cheeks at the question. He was oh, so tempted to yell at Sasori and tell him to stop being so clueless. He knew damn well what he meant. He was just being too annoying for his own good. Meh, might as well just play along. He needed to stay in the red head’s good books if he wanted the date to actually happen after all, right? It could all be taken away in one moment. It meant the sculptor would have to keep on his toes and watch what he said.
But nevertheless, he found that little head tilt rather…no…really cute.
‘Just one kiss, please, un,’ he pouted. He then raised one hand and pointed to his mouth. ‘Right here.’ He kept a tight grip on his Danna’s hand, still tugging it a little.
Although, the blond had every intention on keeping his partner in the kitchen with him. Or he’d just follow him into the living room. If he were kissed, he’d just try and take a little bit more than he should’ve done. Just like the child he was behaving like. ‘Might as well kiss me now seeing as you’re gunna have to kiss me on our date, un,’ he giggled.

So, he had been correct. Of course. The red-head watched the blond point to his mouth and speak again... Tsk! There was no way out of this besides blatant refusal, was there? And he wouldn't put it past Deidara to continue asking, afterwards. Sasori mentally sighed in exasperation at the last thing. Right. Okay, the sculptor was really acting like a brat right now. Yes, the ever-so lovely b-word was probably going to make a reappearance, no matter how much he tried to keep from saying it... Eugh. This was probably going to suck.

But, anyway. He didn't exactly want to... Kiss... The blond. Partially since for all they knew, someone could just pop on in, having forgotten something. Partially because he still wasn't quite comfortable with this whole relationship thing yet. Hey, he was a little old - the older one gets, the more time they need to adjust. Then again, it wouldn't be the first time, would it?

Though the last thing sort of irked him a little... If the blond was so sure they were going to kiss on the... Date, then why did he want to, now? Tch. Impatient, much? - Well, that was a little odd coming from him... The puppeteer tugged back on his hand a little, before rolling his eyes. Whatever. If it got him to shut up... Not bothering to comment, he leaned in to give the blond a brief little peck on the lips. A kiss was a kiss, right? Ha. "... There."

Deidara still kept his tight grip on Sasori. If he was planning on getting away without giving him what he wanted he’d have a fair bit of trouble doing so. He would follow him out of the room anyway. That would be if he didn’t try a genjutsu and disappeared. Hm…maybe that was something he’d have to get the eye hiding under his fringe to decapitate. But that would take quite a lot of time and effort to do. Yet another thing to put on his to-do list.
When the puppeteer did however kiss him, it was his turn for his eyes to widen. Though marginally and for a split second. He heard a sort of hiccup noise coming from his chest. Maybe it was his heartbeat suddenly increasing in speed. They closed almost as soon as the kiss was over. He grinned, blushing and biting his bottom lip. That had been…nice. Very nice even. The blond was sure that if it had lasted even longer than it did it would’ve been even nicer. He looked back into his partner’s eyes, still blushing away. ‘Thanks, Danna, un,’ he giggled. Should he ask for another one? Nah. That would just be pushing it. He’d try again later on, maybe before the date or something.
Yeah, that sounded like a good idea.
‘You know…that was the first time you’ve actually kissed me, un,’ he sculptor stated smugly. ‘All the other times it’s been me kissing you.’ If his calculations were correct now it was Deidara, four, Sasori one. Ha. Like football commentary.

Sasori merely watched the reaction to the little kiss passively. Though, if puppets could blush, that was most likely what he would be doing as well, if a little grudgingly. Thankfully, though, they couldn't. So, yeah... He stared back once Deidara reopened his eyes, before half-lidding his own in mild amusement at the thanks. The red-head made no comment to that, but the other thing...

He rose a brow at the smug little statement, snorting quietly. "The reason for that is obvious," he mumbled, more to himself than anything. 'Cause... Well, it was. Logically, the blond had... Eh. Urges? He couldn't really thing of a better word - that he lacked. Hm... Maybe a better word, actually, would be 'intuition' - or... Ah, whatever. The puppeteer lacked whatever it was and that was that.

Right. Anyway. What had he... Oh, right. He had been originally going to get a book or something to read. Though... There was still one thing... With a quiet, irritated-sounding noise, he raised the hand whose wrist the sculptor still had a hold of, frowning ever-so slightly. "Are you going to let go any time soon...?" It was just slightly annoying, afterall. He didn't want to have to drag the blond with him in order to go find a book or anything... Seriously.
