Probably the best thing I've ever done with a mouse. Yes folks, I don't have my tablet yet. But I refuse to let that stop me from bringing more art out. So help me! lol..
Anyhoo, this particular piece has been eating at me to perfect for some time now, and now its done! At last! My character Rick showing his darker side. There comes a time when even angels will draw blood for the sake of those they love. This particular scene takes place in the aftermath of a fight as the dust settles. Obviously he's the only one left standing
This'll be my last Rick piece for a while. I've been neglecting to do some fan art piece of Risika for Jalyn, and thats something you'll be seeing in force soon. Til then, enjoy.
Please let me know what you think of this. Its not often that I put quite this much effort into any given piece, so I'd like to know your opinions, love it or hate it

Yay for mouse work! I use a mouse for all my digital art needs, so I know it's possible to put together something great. And something great you sure did!
I love how vivid the red looks against the cool blue hues, it heightens the mood of the drawing, especially since Rick is all in shadow except for his glowing eye and wings.
Just a tad eerie, but in a super cool, kick-arse sort of way.

You know I got some negative responses to the blue/red contrast on the forums >.< I'm glad I've got another supporter! Hehe, besides, Rick in blue is just a trend for me anyhow ^ ^ I think you've got the full spectrum of what I was aiming for in this one.

Some people are just too picky. You know how 3D glasses have a red lens and a blue lens? I think this illustration kind of has a similar effect the way the colors balance one another. Besides, I rather like all these images of Rick in the blue with the addition of strong black and white contrasts. Looks more dramatic in my opinion.

Amazing drawing, especially to be done with a mouse ^^. The wings are beautiful, and the blood was very well done as well. And the coloring really suited the mood also.

I loved doing those wings. I was suprised to find that its the caligraphy (prolly slaughtered the english language there) tips that turned out to be perfect for the job.
