Description This lightsaber is based on a drawing which I uploaded awhile ago. It's shown here on the workbench where it was constructed, along with a hydrospanner [link] and a holocron [link]

If you like it, please come back in a day or so. I'll be adding some close-ups of the saber itself, from different angles, and a look at the inner workings of the saber. And I still have to render a blade...

Also, I'm planning to make all of the models except for the lightsaber (specifically, the workbench, the light, the hydrospanner, and the holocron) available in a .zip file later.

original drawing: [link]
disassembled view of the saber: [link]
models package: coming soon

Rendered completely in blender, the open source 3d modeller. No post-processing.

Why thank you! The grip was one of the hardest parts to make, it being such a custom shape. And I'm not sure the rubber looks quite right, but... good enough.

Well, if you read my comments...
This render didn't use anything custom, just the Blender internal engine.
