After a much needed morale boost, I drew some fan art that I wanted to do. Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped but atleast it came out. Very very disapointed with the television effect that I tried. Very messy indeed. I really need to work on cleaning up my work.Anywho, this is Robin touching a picture of Amon on a television screen from the intro credits of the television series "Witch Hunter Robin". Oh man, I'd let Robin touch me ANYDAY!
Done in H,HB, 2B, 5B and 8B for 4 days on and off.

awesome job. I think the tv lines are done well as well as the shading on the woman, and her clothes. I like how her hands are drawn (as i'm terrible at drawing hands).

Did you draw this from a picture or did you actually memorized the image from TV? 'Cause if you did memorize it from watching TV, that's a pretty kick-ass photographic memory you got there.
Awesome job on the shading, but I agree that you should fix the hand. Hope to see the revision.

Haha, no way I could have memorized that. I managed to get my grubby hands on my friend's copy and paused it at a section that I thought was cool. Lots of pacing back and forth from my screen to the drawing table I must say.

Well, maybe she just needs to buy a high-definition tv. It eliminates the tv in a tv effect, plus the picture and sound quality are unreal!
But I also like the overall concept. I feel the same way when I look at pictures of my home and family sometimes, wanting to be able to go back there.

Well, in the intro credits to that series she's hugging a really old TV. Why? I don't know why and she's in Japan too hahah! Ah well.

It is very good work, even though it is still not quite finished. I think you need to work on the hand a little bit more give it more volume and definition. Hands say so much about people. I like how you have done the sleeve and the movement of the pencil. Her expression is very sad, almost in despair. I think the right hand eye needs a little bit of fixing since it appeares smudged. Anyhow good work. I was very happy to see it grow.

Yep. This is probably the first piece I'm going to really clean up. The hand I'm going to try to outline more and perhaps get rid of more of the shading(and darken the shading maybe. Not sure, still need to experiment) since the screen is fairly bright. The eyes were a toughie for me. The reference picture was quite blurry and I couldn't quite make out what was around there so I just sorta guessed. Gonna have to watch the intro credits over and over again!
