Description
I live! Yes I still live. No artwork for several months, it's a crime and I shall be punished! But I am seriously intending to change that, and signs indicate a better future.Anyway, finally found myself a new, proper outside drawing spot, where I have benches, a table, lots of green around and very little people coming around. Such places give me the best motivation, so once I settled down there for the first time, I drew her. And I kept going properly. Also as a special event, my first colored pencil picture in ages. Won't happen too often though, because even though the coloring is nice, it doesn't turn out exactly as I want. And the paper works really at the limits of it's stability, several times almost ripping because I am working with quite the pressure, a sharp tip and drawing over the same spots with different shades.
No matter what, she's a cute lady and I am sure you will like it. I am very satisfied with the pose, the angle and the coloring also worked out pleasently.

Where to start with this one... <3
First off, you are very masterful when it comes to color pencils, making the rarity of them even more enjoyable. I just cant get enough of them. :3 Unlike me who just does traditional work to make myself happy and not really caring about mastering it, you really have an amazing handle on practical quality of traditional media. It shows, especially the way to move the grain of fur, fabric, hair, everything in an organic pattern. I could never accomplish that kind of work with my attitude on traditional media.
Speaking of fur when it comes to fox ladies, I gotta hand it to you, that your traditional work and its amazing job at showing texture will always give a superior look to the tail than your digital media. :U That damn nonsexual tail fetish of ours had to make it in this comment somehow, dont you fucking know it.
As for the rest of the lady, its all proper and beautiful. I love the quizzical expression on her particularly. The blue top, exposed bra strap, black pants, sneakers, brown hair though... reminds me of the old look of a certain fox lady you might know. ;3 Need to see more of her on your other page someday...

Thank you much for this comment. Afterall something meaningful was said. Such a rare thing these days, but well, also my own fault when delivering so little. But as pointed out, this shall be changed. My lovely new drawing spot is around 20m away from my apartment, so since the last week was pretty rainy, I couldn't get there. But whenever there is good weather, I will.
Anyway, I remember already in the past people were mentioning, how they liked my color pencil pictures (maybe you were already a part of them, I can't remember). Because remembering this, I thought it was appropriate to start this period of more art with such a picture. But it also has to do with actually being able to draw almost a whole picture at that mentioned spot, without a computer.
I didn't do this for quite some time, because there are meaingful drawbacks when drawing this way, instead of doing it digitally. The most important ones are:
** the colors I often use (like orange) are running down quickly. I always need the pencils sharp, so they get grinded down fast.
** it's tough to generate the colors I want, because sometimes layering another color over an already drawn one will not result in much of visibility (like the red here, which I tried to draw over the orange).
** the paper suffers much under my "intense" drawing. I work with much of pressure and sharp tips, so already after 2 layers of color drawn, the paper "degenerates" and might rip. In this example you can see the waves of the suffering paper on the pants and the beginning half of her tail.
But aside those drawbacks (which I can handle by evolving my techniques and materials), the visual and technical advantages of this style are definately there. As a perfectionist, I am usually not too fond of the rather rough look of such coloring, but you are definately right, that it looks more organic. Digital colors are pretty flat. But while I love me my digital pictures, which I will also keep doing, this is worth to be put more into the lime light too. So congrats, your comment was an important element for my decision to keep evolving with color pencils. With the right paper, several ones of the important colors of high quality pencils and a good sharpener, this can a lot better than this. And I am interested in finding out. Plus, with that you actually have a physical original, which you don't with digital pictures. Even though in my case, it's usually not 1 original. In this example, I drew the sketch and the inks on one sheet, but somewhat small (and size of the motive is essential to how rough the coloring looks then). So I scanned it in, cleaned up the line work a little and printed it out in biggest size (good to have a laser printer for this) then coloring it. But stupid me forgot the ground shadow, which I drew alone on another sheet, scanned it in and placed it under her. Looks fully traditional, but there is actually 1/3 digital work in there. Concerning this, I am proud being one of the very few, who delivers traditional pictures, perfectly digitally finished with transparency 'n shit. Such a picture looks pretty different in an annoying white box.
So anyway, for the biggest part of this picture, I used my old 0.05mm Copic multiliner, which didn't want to work properly at the end anymore. So I already got 2 new ink pens, one very fine one and a bigger one, they are awesome. Tomorrow I will go and ask for good paper for color pencils and also get me a load of new ones and a top sharpener. And then there will be another picture of this style, but already looking way better.
About those other 2 things: I always appreciate the tail being mentioned. Because you said it. And I wouldn't even call it nonsexual tail fetish, because it's none to me. It's not a fetish, because the attention is not focused around that, but shared with the rest of the lovely view, and it's not nonsexual, because I think such a tail is a very damn sexy part of such a lady. The funny thing is, even though the tail could pretty much look the same on male and female characters, the appeal it has depends on the body it is attached to. And when a damn lovely looking girl comes with a wonderful tail, that's just optimal. To me it needs to be a fox tail, like this. Even when people already leave out the white tip, it's not as lovely to me................................. Oh boy, try to do such a conversation with a "normal" person, you could read "weirdo" on his forehead XD
And about Amy............ well what can I say, the character and her story keeps developing in my head, but obviously I don't get anything down to see. Hopefully this will change one day to actually getting close to making this movie, but I am at least already sure, that this secondary account doesn't serve a purpose anymore. I will delete it, but that's not bad, because I don't feel the need anymore, the keep Amy seperated. Even though I didn't draw her for some years now, I will change that and upload those pictures here.
However, sure thing this girl here reminds you of her, because that is how she USED to look. As mentioned, she has developed in my head, and she has changed a lot. From a rather sweet girl with brown hair, she's now a rebellious bitch with black and blue (or possibly green) hair, very much like that girl I uploaded recently, that could pretty much be Amy (aside from, Amy has less of a chest). But when I say bitch, she's not an asshole character. She's basically still sweet, but doesn't care to use really evil language, dresses like a punk and lives the Heavy Metal - literally, she's giving some heavy tunes on her guitar. Heavy Metal will be the main kind of music in the movie. But she's not a totally "spaced" character, still fitting into a normal world, so people could identify with her. I just didn't like Amy to be a very common girl - so basically to be boring. With those assets, she's sure not. There is still plenty to tell, but I will keep some stuff to myself until hopefully one day, everybody gets to see her.
Hopefully I didn't spam you here, but you know me..... I will write what my mind feels like expressing.

Like I always say, more adult furries look better to me. Nice drawing there.

They sure do to me too, I only can't tell, if your comment is pro or contra this picture XD I believe it's pro, because she seems somewhat young, but still adult.
I totally know what you mean. I dunno why it's the case, but so many people draw furries with an unrealistic big head, which looks like a comic style. This has become so common, that people accuse me of drawing wrong, that I always draw the heads too small. They take bigger heads for granted. That's really ennoying. You could take lots of pictures with a fine anatomy, but because of the size of the head, it feels like you look at a child. Shrink down the head a bit of the picture is fine. I guess that is why some pictures also feel special to me - when there is no big head but a fine, adult anatomy.
Oh that inspires me to another picture, that should perfectly suit your group. An either naked or slightely clothed lady lounging somewhere with a glass of whine or something, where you can truely see she's nowhere below her mid 30s. Hopefully I don't forget about this plans, because that can commonly happen to me XD
