Hello!!Just wanted to post a piece which I have had in my files for some time now. This was one of the very first pieces which I asked FCO if he would like to colour. This led to he and I hooking up to work on GEMINI for Image.
We have refined our working styles since this piece, but I still think ths one turned out quite nice. Hope you guys like it! As always, more art is on the way

Man this is the most amazing drawing i've ever seen.
I only signed up yesterday but i stumbled across your page last year and ur work has inspired me. I'm only 16 and not that great at art but i've been teaching myself from ur stuff and slowly getting better with photoshop and stuff
about half my deviations are my own attempts at your work and hope ur cool with that (i link them all back 2 urs)
anyways, i just wanted 2 say that ur doing a fantastic job and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words man! I kinda learnt to draw the same way you are, although later I had to unlearn a lot of the 'mistakes' I had picked up from other artists. I'm glad to see that my work has inspired you to draw. That's always a good thing. I would highly recomend to look at other inspirations also if you really want to get good at drawing.

Btw, I was wondering if you'd be able to tell me how u create your backgrounds, like in your Raphael or Apocalypto drawing, they look so awesome but i have no idea how you do them!

Yeah, I was born in Australia. Sydney, in fact.
Thanks again for the kind words. I use a filter in Photoshop called 'halftone' to simulate a zip-a-tone style effect (which is the dot effect). I am also using it on Gemini covers.

The stylized, irregular characters are interesting to the eye. They make the characters your own for sure. Nifty sh*t.

Man, i'm somewhat conservative about spider-man's works cause he was the first super hero i met when i read the old comics "the amazing spider man" my father gave me. Since them he has been my favorite hero, and, thanks to the image i have formed in my childhood i don't really like the new spider man most of the people are creating. Yours spider man, in spite of it's stylich forms really impressed me. Loved the city behinds, it reminds me an dark city from an old disney movie.
Sorry if i couldn't express what i wanted to well, my english has lots to evolve xP

I was searching for 'Spider Man' and this picture got my attention
I like how Spider man turned out there, he doesn't look like the usual spider man we see these days
Skinny and thin... this is exactly how I imagine the real Spider man!
The colors and the background are fantastic, the hands are wonderfully made

Adonde vives en Chile? Pase una semana ahi en 2005, y me gusto mucho. Me gustaria mucho ir de nuevo, pero pasar mas tiempo la proxima vez, y tambien ojala conozer a otros artistas de comics. Hecho de menos las comidas increibles tambien! jeje
