Okay, I was looking through some old pieces of unfinished work, and I found something I was supposed to submit more than two weeks ago. So, yes, it's really late.So I finished it and kicked the scanner until it started working right.
To the lovely :iconR.J.Daae: [link] . Whose birthday was somewhere in the middle of summer.
And last of all; I wanted Raoul to say something in the last panel. So after ten lame lines, I decided to just leave it at 'boobs'.... It's always funny when someone says it, despite being irrelevant to a severe beating.

I don't blame Erik. He was asking for a punch in the face, really. EVERYONE would dream to do that to someone being so horrible, but Erik is the only one who could get away with actually DOING it!

Yeah, I tend to get careless with sideburns. In the 2004 film, Raoul's sideburns looked ridiculously false... and big.

All I know about 1800's male attire, is that anyone who could afford it, wore white or black gloves, and had ridiculous sideburns that curved over their cheek bones.
The look was interesting, and very defining. I wouldn't say attractive, but a sort of defining image of gentlemen.

I liked the movie in it's own kind of way. It has something that other versions didn't- yet there were flaws- lots of flipping flaws. Lots of cheap Amateur errors. Joel Shumaucher(Sp) was responsible for the horrible 'Batman Forever' (The one with Freeze and Poison Ivy) yet at the same time, made a great movie based on one scene only, looked really good too(Phone Booth).
It's the story I enjoyed- not the movie, per say...

I loved the books and 2004 movie. I'm too scared to see the non-musical movie cause of a comic I saw on it and how strongly the artist warned us that it was dramatically differant from the musical phantoms. I'm gonna see if the local theatre has phantom this year. That would be so cool.

Golly. There are lots of different versions of 'non musical' Phantom of the Opera films. The first one- a classic outbreak of awesome- is pretty good. (Not all people who devote themselves souly to the ALW musical like to say so, but I personally loved the use of 'shadow' shots used in the film. Whatever happened to the shadow shots in modern film?- it's all special effects now Xl )
Then there is the 1989 version with Robert Englund as the phantom (Freddy Kruger) -It's a slasher horror flick. There were some characteristics of the Phantom expressed in this film I wish other Phantom films used. When it comes to obsession, Robert Englund carved gold out of his role. Watch it once, shrug-off the sickness, then watch it with others and chuckle at some of the sneaky tricks he does (appearing one place, then another in a smug way)
Then there was the 1990 Version of PotO with Charles Dance. This one, I have to admit, has the most sympathetic ending out of them all. This one gave the Phantom a pretty damn good sense of humour. It's worth watching! ( Open Titles>> [link] << The rest of the movie is in 24 parts- you'll find em)
Those three mentioned are only the tip of the iceberg. Whatever you choose to watch first- keep an open mind; Every version has something that another one doesn't have.
