My custom action figure of Samus Aran from Nintendo's Metroid video game series .Hand made from scratch
Sculpted in Castilene
Molded in Smooth-On silicone rubber
Casted in Smooth-On resin
Hand painted with Tamiya Acrylics
25 Points-of-Articulation
1/6 scale (12")
Close to 300 hours to complete (1st figure-30 hours each additional figure)
Only 6 made (5 sold, 1 for me

Unfortunately I'm not making anymore of the 12" Varia Suits. I've moved on to the Light Suit and have a few others planned.

I'm sorry but I'm not making any more of the Varia Suit figure. I've set a limit of 6 and all are spoken for. I am however working on the Light Suit.

How many more of which? Varia Suit none. Light Suit I haven't set the limit yet and only one person is in line to buy one so far. I'm thinking 20 will be the limit.
I plan on making the Dark Suit and PED Suit... but those are just maybes. I'm also working on the Ridley.
Oh, the Samus' are not cheap. I sell them for $500. I know that sounds like a lot but they are made from scratch by hand... and takes many hours to make one.

Yes it is pricey. But I assure you that with the time I spend on each figure, the price should be even higher.

Are we talking action figure (articulated) or statue? Also how big?

How big?
How do you feel about a customized action figure, using an existing figure as a base body? I would then modify/customize the figure to look like Ganondorf. That would be the cheapest option, but still depends on how much time I spend on it. I will still need to know how big so I can look for the correct base figure. Most common would be 6". Sizes other than that would be difficult to find a similar body.
I will still have to do some research to be able to estimate a cost.

meh I was thinking like 8 inches but 6 inches should be big enough.
Im all about cost management ....whatever would be cheapest would probably the the best option, for me at least.
I was also thinking about a custom action figure of me for my son. Im in the US Army and my is 5 years old. He still plays with GI Joes and such. Maybe you can scuplt a likeness of me in uniform or something like that. Would somehting like this be possible?

8" might be possible. I will have to hit up my local toy shops to see what I can find. Might be a week before I can get back to you about Ganondorf.
About the figure of yourself. That is very possible. Have you seen the Army figures before (Mcfarlane [link] ). They have all sorts of different soldiers that I can just replace the head with your sculpt. Or I can even use a GI Joe if you would like. Are we talking the 12" Joes or the 3.75" ones?

Wow, I can't believe none of my Metroid buddies pointed this out to me in February. Maybe they did, but seriously, holy crap this is awesome.
It particularly great to look through those WIP shots. I would absolutely kill to see a Light Suit variant of this.
