Overall very, VERY well done. The technique works for you though I wouldn't mind seeing a redone version that more closely emulates the style of the show or even a full on fan animation. Origionality wise you are also spot on. Rather than acting like a censor, Twilight is approaching this as she would a friend who is having trouble with something. The clear winner is the impact though, showing that we don't need to censor or make someone conform to our version of normal, but adjust our point of view and accept them for their individuality. This is something those parents who had Derpy pulled should read.

Portraying Truths via soft solid colors, gradients, and an undeniable truth.
It's Not anything too new, with derpy and all. but the way your dialogue flows and the words that are said are like a punch to the feels.
I especially like the way you naturally wrote the dialogue, as to fit the style.
My only complaint is a bit dumb, but the lack of derpy's presence in frame 4 (though I realize it's intended for the effect) kinda throws me off a bit.
Regardless I love it to bits great work on the stye! and overall presentation.

To emphasize how amazing this comic is, I'd like to say that this made me make a "dawww" folder just so I could put this in it.
Anyway, Critique. Yes, that thing:
The idea of "fixing" Derpy (especially her eyes) isn't anything really new. BUT, the way you presented it is certainly something I haven't seen done before, not as a censor, but as a compassion meant in good will. As far as art goes, it's pretty basic, but it fits really well. Derpy looks adorably derpy, Twilight looks fine, even if looks a bit wonky in some of the details. The change of the background color is clever, and the use of comic effects (Movement lines and laughter) are really nice, and make it fell a bit more interesting where the scenes would look a bit empty.
In all, I really like it. In terms of how professionall it looks, I'd only give it a 3.5. The take on the concept is pretty original, so I'll give that a 4. The design you used is really fitting, and adds on to the impression. It could've been a little more cleaned up in spots, but it's really good. Almost a five, I'll give it. Impact: Like I said before, so many dawwwwwws, and it's really nice how portrayed the situation. Since this is now a pretty old concept, the message feels a little stale, I'll be completely honest. But they way you projected it in this fashion makes it really touching, with Derpy being accepting of herself and showing others that there's nothing wrong with who she is. 4.5. Almost 5.

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really love this! (Sorry for all the 'reallys', I'm trying to put more words becasue of the 100 - word minimum). FINALLY, a comic that says Derpy is fine just the way she is!!! I love how Twilight realizes the same, and how she's smiling and getting teary in the last few panels. Derpy looks best being wall - eyed, in my opinion, and I guess Derpy thinks so too. ^_^ They're both awesome ponies, awesome comic, and awesome idea. Not really original, i've seen this same story about five times, with slightly different endings. The technique is pretty good, impact good, but originality deserves a two. vision deserves a 3.5 or a 4

The importance of Derpy here is not that she has accepted who she is, but that she forgives Twilight for misunderstanding her appearance as a problem and even appreciates the deeper meaning that Twilight willing to help her even if she didn't ask for it but clearly needed it. That is why this is so special.

Derpy's eyes are what make her so charming and lovable. What was originally an animator's mistake has become a beloved character who is playful, innocent, upbeat... and far more intelligent and well spoken than we gave her credit for. That was confirmed once and for all in "Slice of Life". I'm so glad to see that Twilight finally got that. Derpy was the pony that got me into the herd last year, triggering a series of events that took me from California to grad school here in Hawaii, where I now create MLP fan art both at school and at a local comic jam near Pearl Harbor.
I suggest Derpy can see quite well, she just has lazy eye. Β
