hmmm well for the flowers I used just a photo , adjusted colour and well erased the edges away with the eraser. and stretch it or put in perspective with the transforming tool. I do not suggest you to start artwork with too much textures. Paint first backgrounds by hand with speedpaints till you are experienced enough for textures.
