Wow, great anatomy and I love the lion thing w/ antlers. The anatomy is great and the extra horns added made it perfect. Have you thought of making it a breed, and selling it to someone? Or... does is it already a well known breed? Cause if it is, I had no idea!

These sketches are all just so beautiful. The anatomy in your artwork is always so inspiring to look at.

I'm just wondering, have you ever taken anatomy classes, or did you learn everything on your own from books and observation?

Hey Red,
I was wondering if your handscanner does colors justice as well. I'm thinking about buying myself the same portable scanner as you have, but I paint a lot traditionally, and I was wondering if you'd know if it doesn't deform colors a lot ^^'

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RedbuzzarddArt In reply to LabradoriteWolf [2012-07-08 22:21:23 +0000 UTC]

all the sketches in here are scanned with my portable scanner, it will however scan brighter than the original, but it depends how you set the color balance. I don't have traditional paintings so I can't check it out for you. I use mine just only for scanning the sketches and linearts that I will colour digitally.

Thank you very much for your help ^-^ I've been looking to invest in a good anatomy book or two.
Plus these are a lot less money than the other ones I've looked at

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RedbuzzarddArt In reply to caephire [2012-07-08 22:25:26 +0000 UTC]

they are very helpful, the book who shows the movement and action also shows the anatomy like the muscles and bone structure from various animals, but the atlas book just goes in deeper on the anatomy , with various plates, with name tags for every muscle and bone.

There is also an online free to acces of the atlas book: [link] but the book got better and stronger contrast quality, and its just worth it to buy because you will always have it at hand whenever you go! Its just 10 bucks :3

caephire In reply to RedbuzzarddArt [2012-07-08 22:56:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah the main reason I have been looking for an anatomy book is to take it with me when I go places - I can't exactly carry the internet around in my pocket, even though there are great anatomy resources online. That free access is great though! Thanks for sharing it with me <3
