***Warning - LARGE FILE. I mean LAAAARGE. holy sh** its 2k x 10k! Do not say I did not warn you!***
Here, it is - the big, official, festive ... thing.
My MASTERPIECE! It is doneth. Well, sorta. There are some loose ends that need to be tied, and the detachable tail needs necklace pieces.
Christmas present for my boyfriend - started out as a present for some whole other occasion, but I could not make it in time back then.
So here are a bunch of pictures, because one could not show all the awesomeness I see in this (absolutely not) little bewie.
I know it is not exactly precise (missing last wing-finger), but I love him nonetheless.

bg texture is from =Sirius-sdz
cca. 30 meters of wire and even more string.
3"x 2"x 3" with tail curled and wings spread upwards.
0.2 lbs - altho he feels a lot more heavier
pattern is completely my own invention, pretty much made it up as I went
used 2-wire beading for the body and legs/wings and peyote stitch for the membranes - it really does give a soft leathery feeling.... mmmmhhmm.
time:
stopped counting after 50 hours - but if I had to guess, I would say around the double (including two overnights)
I MIGHT open commission for another one in the new year - provided there is anyone interested....
OH man. I still cannot believe I have done it.

I didn't take pictures of the underside as I recall. But it can be arranged if it helps you.
However, I'd really like to ask you if you make multiple copies of the bead figure not to sell them. Same stands for the pattern. I know I cannot prevent you from doing so, but I trust your good intent.

I did make a whole lot a of pictures while I was making it and I do plan to upload it but I gotta throw them together yet.
However there are a lot of things that you can't really see on photos - like how certain wires run inside and where are they fixed ... worse, even I can't remember them all.
