My mom always told me stories about archangels are looking after us and how they surround you and watch you... they protect. Angels are amazing, they're noble warriors and guardians. I've honestly had these moments where I wanted to give up on everything, but I always look up and say "I can do this. I can be strong. I can... soar through this like an angel."

They're majestic beings who watch over our souls.

It took me a while to figure the composition. I have about 3 versions of this with different poses and variations of armour until I settled for a more solemn look. It's been a long time not drawing wings to be honest, and I haven't digitally painted them so I was pretty freaked out but I 'winged' it.... get it? LOL!

Hope you enjoy this final piece!

Stay Strong!

You know I always believed that there were angels at my back as well. I strongly believe that they gave me strength to keep getting up when I felt at my worst.

The fact that you have the angel looking up toward the light with his wings spread wide shows that he is always willing to help you see the light that shines down from above shattering even the darkest of shadows in your thoughts and in your soul. His arms and wings being open shows that he'll never close you off to his comfort and strength. It kind of has a warm glow to it, like warmth just oozes of the angels very being.

It also, to me symbolizes hope, that even when things look their darkest your guardian angel will always be there to shine a light on that darkness, and banish it away from your mind with his guiding light pulling you up from your despair and hopelessness.

I really love it, it's really soft looking but absolutely powerful at the same time. Really well done dear! <3

Thank you so much! Yes this artwork.. would you believe that this should have started off this series but it ended up being the LAST piece. lol.

This took me 3-4 tries to perfect until I realized, "This should.. be the last one " because "Reverence" the word itself.. when I hear that word, I imagine... light.Sunshine.clouds... I have that type of head where when I hear a word.. or a song. I imagine myself, living through that song like I'm ... feeling it. so this artwork took me a while to grasp because I had too many ideas.

I think you did fantastic by placing it as the last one. It actually brings the series to a nice close.

Well, I think it turned out just great! I love the lighting, and it just makes me feel warm and content when I look at it.

Haha, I know what you mean, I get that way sometimes when I have something that I really want to draw. I get sooo many ideas but I just don't know how I want it to look, I draw it one way then I see something else and I have to re-design it. XDD

Still, I'm glad it ended up this way. I can't see it any other way.

Hahaha, thanks. It was just funny seeing when I wanted to do this series, I wanted to start this one and this angel piece would have been very dark... Silly me. But yeah, I had to explain to my mom about the 'Unbroken" piece and how it was too dark and she was questioning my moods.

I was like "No Mom, I'm not depressed, it starts off dark, you'll see" and every time I post my work (I post these of facebook as well) .. She sees it and yells my name and she tells me "It's amazing!" .lol. Expect the Unexpected huh?

You're so welcome!:

I really do love the transition from dark to light, XD That just shows how you fought your way out of the darkness and into the overwhelming light.

I'm really glad that she loves them, after all a parents support is like some of the best right? XD
