Description
Pic of both of my Samurai Edge's togetherLeft = Wesker custom model
Right = Custom Kendo Shop Model
I am unsure of the origins of the Kendo model. Guessing its just a model they came up with rather than basing it on a character's gun (unless it was a special model someone had or something i dont know)

I read on the Resident Evil wiki and found the origin of this gun. It's a CYMA replica as mentioned here;Β
- Another airsoft company, CYMA, also released several Samurai Edge airsoft replicas. One is a full sized, spring powered handgun that includes a plethora of accessories (many of which were never featured in Resident Evil), while the other is a "Super Deformed" version. Both are of notoriously poor quality

There;s the link it's under the heading ReplicasΒ

Its not uncomfortable, just feels plasticy. Its not bad to hold it, its basically just a moulded grip like some guns come with (both my M9's came with shaped grips) Its not much of a gun to use, is just a spring powered gun, its mainly just for collection purposes

Really, I thought that the custom kendo was a TM gun.

I really have no idea. I was told its an early model made by TM and Kendo but i cant find any info online about it. It could and probably is TM, just an early one not to the same standard. Most TM guns are plastic so that much adds up. Dont know for sure though

Wow, impressive replica. So was the slide hard to come across or were there plenty in stock?

Well i'd say it was luck. You cant buy the parts separately, lucky enough if you can even find the gun still in stock anywhere now. Last year the grips and slide came up on ebay here which is what gave me the idea in the first place to build the gun myself using the parts. Luckily no one else had the same idea and i was the only bidder on them, got them for like Β£2. Very hard to find, i was lucky someone was willing to sell just the parts. Would be surprised to see that happen again though its not impossible. Just one of those very rare things that turn up every so often. I always look through newly listed RE stuff on ebay to see whats up. Looking out for the Ashford Gold lugers and Barry Burton model Samurai Edge too..

Β£2? I'd say that was lucky, and it was a brilliant idea to actually to build it from...scratch, I guess you can say. Also good luck on your search.

Yep, very lucky. I dont know why he was selling them. I sent him a message at the time asking if he had the gun as well that they came off but he said no. The slide wasnt actually ment to be included in the listing due to ebay's stupid policies. He had a pic of it in the pic with the grips so i sent another message asking if he could include it too and he said it was of no use to him and he'd throw it in for free with the grips. I'd been wanting the Edge ever since i first saw that you could actually buy it but they were pretty expensive. So when i saw these come up i just thought all i need to do is buy a standard M92F and switch the parts. Hasnt been as easy with having to rebuild everything and find all the parts i need but its probably worked out a bit cheaper (the standard Edge is like Β£120 and i'd want Wesker's model which would still require having to buy the chrome gun so i think its been alot cheaper this way) Something isnt right with it functioning though when i try to actually fire it with gas, im not sure what the problem is. I got it for a model but i would like to be able to actually use it too when i want to

Amazing what you will find on ebay. It was fortunate he threw in the grips for free. The dark gray M92F I have my eye set on is Β£201, my friend will hopefully give me his chrome slide and 2 26 round magazines.
Usually if the parts aren't from the same manufacturer, they most likely will be incompatible, though usually if it were me it would go to waste anyways because I would have it for decoration only and most likely won't ever leave my holster. ^^'

Yep, i buy everything off there lol. Yeah was cool of him. Is hard getting a hold of guns here. Im not UKARA registered so have limited options in only buying from the few sites that offer to two tone guns. And with ebay policy not to list airsoft guns i cant do it that way. I saw the Gold lugers up last year though. At the time i thought they went too high and didnt bid but if i saw them at that price now i'd be happy to pay that. I just found Leon's custom desert eagle on a site, thinking about getting it. Is rather expensive though but looks amazing.. probably will eventually. Will need to be 2 toned but the paint is so easy to strip off, it just scrapes off
Thats true, need to make sure parts are compatible. My gun is made by TM too so the parts fit no problem. Theres several models of gun that are practically TM clones and parts will be interchangable between them. Just need to check first before you buy

I would buy from ebay, but kind of decided against it after a bad experience with purchasing an art set and the condition of the utensils were worse than what the seller let on to be. Also yeah would've expected the gold lugers to shoot up in price.(no pun intended) Also I saw Leon's desert eagles as well, but I definitely have no money right now.

I always thought ebay was dodgy and not to trust anyone but once i actually started using it i see how safe it really is. Out of the hundreds of stuff i've got over the years i've only had a handful of problems. Couple of things being different than i expected and 2 things that werent sent out to me (easily refunded via paypal though) Yeah they ended up at Β£150.. Hopefully another comes up some day, that was like a year ago.. Leon's is expensive but so tempting... lol

Really, only a handful. Well I guess nothing can be 100% safe. Though I kind of forgot the benefits of using paypal.

Yep, most people are genuine and trustworthy, just a few that arent. I wont buy anything without Paypal. Its the best and most secure way to ensure protection. If theres a problem just start a dispute and they fight to get your money back. That and you can report the person on ebay too. Paypal is definately the best thing to use for ebay, gives you protection from any problems with sellers or buyers

I made Wesker's, the other is a rare early model before the other versions of the Edge were brought out. I cant find any info about it but thats what i heard. I got it off ebay a few months ago. I've already been asked if im selling Wesker's one lol. Its not quite finished yet, need my skeleton hammer fitted and im considering trying to make the beavertail out of modelling clay (might look crap though i dont know) They might be for sale some day but not for a long time yet..

Yeah i know.. dont blame them for not wanting to sell it though, i sure wouldnt sell it. Im really wanting to get a hold of the Ashford Gold lugers too but they're the same. Seen one recently at $300 but i thought that was a bit more than i'd be willing to pay for them. ebay is about the only chance for them these days, rare enough seeing them on there now and when they are they're very expensive.. Capcom should re-release some new ones, didnt for RE5 apart from the very limited Wesker model in which only like 5 were made. Will never see one of those.. lol

Aw.. The proper ones are expensive, i made it myself. The slide and grips are the official ones i was lucky to get on ebay but you could still make them yourself just painting them on or something. I've seen a few videos around showing you how to make them. Not as good of course but way cheaper anyway

Damn I want Weskers. Too bad it's illegal to have full steel replica's in Ontario T_T.

RedDevil00 In reply to bishi [2010-04-19 00:30:24 +0000 UTC]
It is? Is illegal here to have any gun that looks like a real firearm (even a plastic toy if its not brightly coloured is technically illegal) The slide on this was painted green, i just switched it for my STARS one. This model is just ABS though by looks it could maybe pass for being steel. Would be great if it was but i'd imagine the price would be rather high for it, is bad enough for plastic models

Ah it looks close to being the TM version. Japan is allowed to have replica's and they get all the great Airsoft guns. Full steel working slide, magazine etc. Very realistic.
Here in Canada anything that is a 1:1 replica of a real or realistic firearm must have clear plastic or stupid bright colours. Makes me sad.

This is the TM chrome M92F. The site i bought it from probably got it in from Japan (i had to wait nearly 3 weeks for it coming back in stock) I could have it without it being painted but i need a license (have to join a skirmish site and do at least 3 skirmishes in no less than 2 months to get a UKARA license)The magazine on this is metal but the frame and most of the rest is ABS. Is the same here if you dont have the license, at least 50% has to be clear or brightly coloured to be legal (unless you have the license)
