The jet in the picture is an AC-17A (a plane that doesn't exist)
references: I used reference pics for the C-17 and the explosion but my computer is being dumb at the moment so I can't find them

When I searching some vehicles that will going to release in a new game "ARMA III", I just randomly search a gunship like AC-17 and coming out this... I just screamed for it. 
Maybe someone should really design the AC-17.

haha, yeah the AC-17 would be a badass gunship, though I doubt that it will ever be designed as the AC-130U Spooky already does more than a good enough job. Spooky is able to track separate targets that are up to 2 kilometers apart and engage them simultaneously. The other issues with the 17 gunship would be speed, cost of conversion, and size. The 130 is more than big enough and has more than enough firepower with it's 105mm, 40mm auto cannon, and 25 mm gatling gun. But still the 17 would be an awesome thing to see.

They better consider the long and accurate engagement for the future if they still want the flying gunship useful, if not that'd be a very big shooting practice.

IT'S WELL DRAWN, BUT IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A COMMERCIAL AIRLINER THAN A GUNSHIP. PROBABLY OWING TO THE COLOR. THE GUNS LOOK OUT OF PLACE ON THAT WHITE, NOT ARMY-COLORED BODY.

the reason the body of the plane is white is because I did the plane using only a #2 pencil, I didn't add color to anything in that frame

technically the AC-130 is not a jet, so therefore I decided to create a variation of the C-17. Besides the C-17 is much MUCH larger than a C-130, which means more/bigger guns

Oh yeah, i forgot it uses propellers.
So I'm wondering why they haven't converted the C-17 into a gunship yet. I guess they don't really need to.

its probably because the C-17 flies too fast, the reason the 130 is used is because it can fly tight circles slowly at high altitudes, also the costs associated with replacing all the Specters and Spookys with globemasters would be phenomenal. One other reason is that the firepower of the 130 is more than enough
