Todd is a brown tom with black ears, a black tail, one black paw, a pink nose, and sky blue eyes.

Todd has a reputation among the local loners and rogues for being able to convince anyone to give him anything he desires simply by using words, whether it be food, water, or other baser needs. It's because of this Todd is given the nickname "Sweet Talkin' Todd." Todd himself never sees any harm in what he's doing. As far as he's concerned, if cats are stupid enough to believe him, then they deserve to be scammed. It's not his fault they're too dumb to realize he's robbing them out of prey and home.

Todd's speaking skills are put to the test when he wanders into the territories of the Clans. From ThunderClan he's able to convince the medicine cat apprentice to teach him how to use herbs by faking an injury; from WindClan he's able to learn how to tunnel by convincing a fairly new WindClan warrior to teach him how, doing so by admiring his "amazing" tunneling skills; from ShadowClan he's given free food and a place to rest his head (as well as a "play mate") when he convinces one of their female warriors that he finds her the most beautiful thing in all the forest (in reality he can't stand her); and from RiverClan he manages to talk a RiverClan apprentice into teaching him how to fish, after pretending to drown in the river. By the time the Clans realize his scheme, he's already long gone, leaving furious Clan cats and a pregnant ShadowClan she-cat behind.
