HA!! Did you think i gave up! Not yet!The thing is hapenning slowly. The code is cleaner, but still some weird bugs happens. Please report any strange reaction from it. The HUD changed a bit and there will more addition in the future since the super combos isnt implemented.
And attending requests, she now can lift and throw objects. These objects can be cars, containers, bikes, small jets, anything. I am still planning to add hand weapons, objects to be used like a bat(a big baseball bat i mean), like light posts and... er... i should think more about this.
Ah, she need 1 LP(love points... er...) to make the heavy attacks. I noticied they got too strong and the player will, wisely, prefer the heavy strikes than the light strikes.
I believe its close to the big day, where i gonna present a full stage to be played.

You should add invincibility frames to some special attacks and more ways in which to dash across the screen - just as a way to get out of enemies that swarm you.Β Start thinking about what would make the game fun in terms of mechanics besides just adding more detail and new features.Β The punching feels pretty good.

Yeah, flash is pretty frustrating.Β I don't know if I could have taken that project as far as you did.Β Also, I can't really draw.Β Far as animating goes, there's my gamegrumps animation, and that's it really.

Yep, its hard but not much. The biggest problem is the memory usage. But the hardware of today is pretty buff compared to 5 years ago. And I use a pretty older version, which is much more lighter.

i love it, i would like to see her fighting male thugs enemies and female brawler bosses. Of course, fix some animations, like where she gets a hit or wen she is defeated. And some glitches, like de invincible brawler when grabbing an enemy and when you can't move. (i speak spanish)

I am glad you liked. Sadly this version has too many bugs and it's hard to fix them all, so, I started other version with more features, but there is no graphics yet.

This version is too glitchy, I did waste a lot of hours on this but I had to scrap the entire project. I didn't manage to fix it.
The new engine is a lot, A LOT, better. It can be used for an adventure, platform, shooting or fighting game. I have a lot of ideas to use on it but I just don't have the time to code. I will try to work in this next year.

What a shame. I love the concept art for the throw and kick. And I really wanted to see the piledriver move change from stick figure to animated!

Thanks! The reason I aborted this game was because the amount of bugs. I tried to fix them but more and more bugs appeared and I decided to start everything again. But I pretend to make a new Beautiful Brawler with a improved version of these graphics.

Check flashkit.com for tutorials. They have a large database about games.
But do you know actionscript already, if not I recommend starting with something more simple, like dressing games.
I believe fighting games is the most difficult type of game to code. It's a lot of interactions happening on the same time and it needs only one mistake to everything fall apart. Leaving that out, it's pretty fun.

I think it's dA stealing the arrow keys for gallery navigation, it used to work on here. Work around, download and open the flash file (.swf) in your browser, should work fine

alright, I am a fan of muscle girls and an avid gamer so seeing a beta of a game that lets you play as a muscle girl made my day, I've got a couple of things I'd like to talk about, I know you don't recognize me as one of your watchers but I hope you don't mind.... go grab yourself some coffee and maybe a snack you might need it as I'm long winded.
Game Play: Ultimately this is what will make or break any game so I promise to try and be more informative than opinionated. This is a brawler at heart like many of my fave games growing up which is only too appropriate for you and the fandom.
Her attacks are good for what they are, she punches, if someone gets near her she combos, and kicks ass, that's all she needs to do. Picking stuff up is awesome but throwing them should do mad damage (okay that one is just my opinion I confess) So no real complaints on fighting.
Blocking seems kind of just there, it works fine but you can get surrounded and then just owned if you release to attack. You've given us a power button, I think it would be seriously good if while blocking you could hit the power button at expense of one LP to do like a crowd break, you know something to push all enemies away giving the players space to move and attack. It's a double standard, players get the sense of being more awesome, but you get more leeway to make the game more difficult to balance it out.
I love the way she moves, I really do, from head to toe, what animation you've done has been done beautifully. Now for criticism: I think the option to run is called for. Maybe that won't work, but it would be nice to have as she does kind of just strolls through the level without a care in the world. This is definately a must if you plan on keeping the level timer... she's not exactly Sonic the Hedgehog, you know what I mean?
...speaking of the timer... you should probably do away with it anyway. Let the player enjoy going through the level and beating the shit out of things. The timer is only worth it in speed games, for bragging rights, you know what I mean? This game, however, is all about taking control of a cute tank and then beating the fuck out of everything that moves and blinks, be it amorphic cubes with arms, bad guys with bats, or innocent squirrels. Hell, go one step further, do things to keep the player playing. Like adding Easter Eggs or secrets that do silly things like change the way the character look... or dropping a mean ass boss without warning. Whether it rewards or punishes, it's still worth it.
Now as far as progression goes, I don't like having to approach the other side of the screen to go forward when I'm prompted to GO, it's a little thing and once again just my opinion but I've had bad experiences with brawlers before where an enemy would be right there on that side of the screen where I can't see him already attacking me. I got that same vibe here. It would be better if she didn't have to walk past the middle of the screen to progress but once again that's just an opinion, it never kept games from being fun before.
Alright, that's really all the gameplay criticisms I have. To talk about anything else would be unfair so I'll refrain from that unless you want to hear some more.

not to be taken too seriously, just some aesthetic ramblings to be taken however you want to, if at all.
Being a fan of spikes, leather, and heavy metal, I'm a little biased against the way the character looks. I mean, she looks so cute! Somehow I think I'd feel more badass if she lost the dress and put on something more appropriate for a Dethclock concert. Hell, I wont lie, I want to run around with a black mohawk and a nose ring smiting mortal enemies with the hammers of thor... hammers being a metaphor for my fists! er... her fists...
You've got a jump feature, why not have some obstacles or parts of the level that have to be jumped or climbed? Eh? Eh? not many other brawlers do that.... possibly because they had a good reason to but those never let us play as an amazon either.
Also, we're leveling up, I see... some physical sign of being more powerful will always be called for. Maybe even a chance to throw in some minor growth.
lastly... I want to say this but I don't want to step on your toes, if I do I'll beg your forgiveness right now... I know you like futa, alot. You don't post much of it on dA but I've seen enough. Even in your first attempts at games you had lots of futa... this is your game I wont dare tell you how to make it but man leave at least one playable character in here for us non-futa fans. It would be a huge disappointment for guys like me if you gave her a raging boner attack and not leave any non-futa leeway for us on this side of the fandom. I know that whole statement is way out of left field, if it bopped you on the nose the wrong way, I swear to you I did not mean it to!
Alrighty then, that's all I've got to say opinion-wise, take it for what it's worth, if none of these ever come to pass, I wont be bothered. Hope to hear more about this game soon!

I am re-creating the fighting engine because the actual game is too unstable and i have no hope to get it 100% functional. So, i am back to my dear notepad writing my crazy routines to make something more sharp. I am thinking in adding platforms to add a little of adventure gameplay but i think this will add too little in the fun factor.
Muscular growth is completely no go. It's already a crazy work to make the basic frames. I thought in adding a second playable character but no chance to happen too. Maybe in the sequel...
I have plans to put a lot of content to keep the player... playing it over and over. Easy, normal, hard and hardcore modes. Several endings, secret bosses, secret moves, etc. Isn't a ninja gaiden but i will have a put a effort on that.
Don't worry, the game isn't about futas. Only muscular girls beating the crap on each other. The main character, B.B., was made to be super cute and a little fluffy. My original idea was to be a game like Golden axe with huge and angry female warriors destroying some barbarians and monsters, lots of blood, guts, etc... but when i came with the rough art of B.B.... Oh, well, i can do that later.
I would like to you keep testing the future versions of the game. The next implementation will take a while to happen, i am still planning the main features(again). But i think will be 110% beter.

... *sheds a small tear* ... well we can't always get what we want, specially when it involves something as complex and aggravatingly time consuming as making a game, but deep down I already knew it couldn't be so... I'm not gonna cry...
Speaking of which, shame you had to axe the coding, starting from the ground up is always a bitch. Makes me wish I knew anything about programming, I'd love to help. Moving on from there, don't knock the little things, not until you find out they become big issues. If I had to re-tell what I said, it would be simply give players more of a reason to jump other than to dodge. like to get over pits and shit. A little depth never hurt anything.
Hearing plans for content makes me happy. I can't reasonably expect this game to be a Ninja Gaiden but I am convinced you've got what it takes to make something good. And by good I meant awesome
... that Golden Axe idea, however, sounds... really badass lol. Ah well, that's nowhere soon. B.B. needs attention! The completion of this game alone is bigger than manifest destiny!

Really awsome so far. One kinda annoying bug I came across that needs ironed is that the clock starts counting down while your in a cutscene.
