Description Another year is coming to end. Time to prepare to the next one.

I have the habit of cleaning my desk, my drawers, desktop, clipboards. Make backups of finished works. And unfinished works too! Some of you may know, I am expert on starting things and never finishing them.

This is another one on the list, a RPG game made in flash. How arrogant! Thinking i could do something like that just working hard. HA! What audacity!
I had to learn some development methods for games and I kinda realized this would be pretty impossible. So, the solution it would be to make a new design, something more simple and short. Like those RPG for Mobiles.

Eck. I know, they sucks. But Attack the Light is a pretty good game and did teach me you can make a good rpgs with limited resources.

I am posting this for you guys to play a bit. It's pretty buggy, but you can check the battles and some features.

And before you ask, no, they aren't triplets. I just used the same model to test and code the battles.


P.S.- Dont mind the new game button, the thing is a big mess. Just try the battles and the navigation. If you find any glitch, just reload the page,

The overall animation is really good, everything feels smooth, it seems you've been pretty inspired for some of the design and there is a definite attention to details. Even the fighting system seems really fun ! And generally it's overlooked in games like these where they prioritize dialogues and descriptive texts. Seriously, i will not see this project go to waste, the potential here is insane and i'm dying to see what a full game like this could look like !! Congrats, it's one of the most action-packed, fast-paced badass rpg i've seen on browsers and it's still far from finished. I like your focus on the cinematic-like effects and shots, if you worked around that particular aspect by varying those effects you could make them less redundant in a full length game and add even more action and immersion into those fight sequences !

Only slight problem ; there is some grammar issues sometime and it can affect the immersion, but that's minor, really.

Even if you end up not finishing it, i still think there is much to learn from this concept, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't aim at creating a finished product !

Thank you for the analysis. I wanted to make the battles with lots of action and good animation. As I said, i did abort the project because the high complexity and the amount of work necessary to build the rest of the game. It's not a job for a single person, so, I need to make it simple and short. I thought in better ways to make the battles easier to develop, but keeping the same concept. And others areas of the game can be simplified or even removed, like the inventory and equipment. Upgrading their original equipment would be a better solution than managing different equipments.

Thanks to games like Undertale and Attack the light, I believe I can make a good RPG after all. I just need to make a better design and stick with it until the end.

Instead controlling each fighter, the main hero would command the others characters, sending them to attack a target, defend her, assist others characters, etc. You can't control them, you can just issue orders to them. The better the relationship with the main heroine, better will be their actions. And instead using only 3 characters, all the 7 fighters would join the battle in the same time.

And of course, if the main heroine is defeated, the battle is lost. But the others characters can revive her if they are skilled enough.

Yep, this way the events will be meaningful, not just babbling nonsense. And I thought in two ways to build a relationship: Dominance and Harmony. Some characters may work better if you keep them in a leash.

Kinda, this system is to force the characters to be more offensive or defensive. And for story reasons too, the main hero could dominate or inspire the others characters, maybe criating exclusive events and endings.

It's the "burst" button. Isn't working yet but the idea was for the girls to grow to another power level with new graphics and new moves. I planned three burst levels: Normal, enhanced and critical stage.

yaaaaaaaay more for the muscle girls rpg!, i really enjoy the battle sistem, it works pretty cool, i love how the characters run to reach his oponent, please don't turn this amazing prototype on those mobile rpg with static images and poor sfx.

I agree. Those static images kills the thing. My idea is to keep this kind of graphics, but make something easier to build and manage. And less player input. I didn't code the super moves because it was too fricking complex.
