Yeah but luckily there are a few games made by medium funding companies that put effort into design and you can always look at the indie game department for good design. For the most part they at least try.

Yes that is true... Lately indie games are a lot better than the big companies' ones. And now, with the wii u, ps4 and all the new consoles they focus so much on graphics ad to me it looks like games are becoming movies... But there are some ecceptions (most of them are nitendo games, for example i think nintendoland is really fun and it has a good design)

I can defiantly agree with that statement. Especially the whole focus on how it looks thing. And for the most part yeah the detail is good but just the coloration and the way they look is so bland that you really just don't care. The only people who care about graphics are immature children and people who play only so they can say they are a "Gamer" which are generally the same thing.

true... i hate when people say that a game is better than an other one because it has better graphics... for example i preferred so much playing with the 16 bit samus on super metroid than the HD samus on other m xD

I do have to say that Other M is one of the weaker parts of the Metroid series (I've noticed that Team Ninja just say Fuck how the character was before were gonna change them completely because were smart and everyone else is dumb) I must also say that it still has the focus on game design like the classic Metroid games. If you can ignore the constant monotone and completely uncharacteristic flip out and having to ask permission thing. I personally think Other M get's to much hate, if any Metroid game deserves hate it would be the COMPLETELY money grabbing game of Metroid Prime Pinball... I mean just wow. Pinball, such a major development for the story and gaming history, so iconic... (The sarcasm is to obvious at this point to be sarcasm)

yes metroid pinball... i don't ever consider ita metroid game xD anyway... other m wasn't that bad, it was really easy but still a lot of fun... but i think that if you compare it to the prime series or super metroid you realize that it is really unoriginal for the ambiences ( jungle, fire and snow... wow), music and your suit is pratically the same during the whole game... it is really disappointing.

Indubitably. My greatest hope for the Metroid series is that they finally go on from after Fusion. Since it's the farthest a head chronologically in the story. I want to see Samus actually do some bounty hunting, of course it's gonna end up going all crazy she might find yet ANOTHER Ridley clone or something, who knows maybe through some more ridiculous atomic bullshit Dark Samus returns, I just want to see the series move forward enough with the prequels and shit like that. Or perhaps she looks for her adoptive family species the Chozo that alone would be an interesting story arch for Nintendo to milk until they have to settle the whole Ridley vs Samus skit.
