Description
Here we have Mzzkiti piloting the P.V.C. Pharsicle, SPF-3114, nestled within what some of the crew endearingly/derisively call the "gopher mound". So called due to its overall silhouette and the fact it can only be accessed via a seat elevating from a lower deck. This was, of course, not the original design plan, but the chief engineer, Rather Strehstowt, had to improvise when the normal access corridor required structural reenforcement and the hatch sealed. Some actually prefer this arrangement as it allows a certain element of privacy, the captain no longer able to loom over their shoulders, distracting them from the task at hand. Certainly he still interacts via a video feed, but there is a degree of comforting separation.

The main inspiration for this setup were the Gerry Anderson puppet series, particularly "ThunderBirds" and "StingRay" with their absurdly elaborate methods for accessing their vehicles. At least here, there is a quasi reasonable explanation for the unorthodox approach...ot so I keep telling myself.
