Maxie is a fun-loving, energetic, mischievous cat who absolutely loves to play with others. He's very talkative and can speak for hours without running out of things to say. He gets shy around either cats that he doesn't like, or cats that he really likes. His favourite thing to do is to play 'tag' with his friends, in which he hits them and runs as fast as he can away from them.

Mazzie sat on a blanket on her windowsill, watching the cars go by from her alley-way view. She longed to dart around, but the act could harm her unborn kits.

Maxie looked up at her with a smile. "How are you this fine morning, my darling?" he called out to her.

She peered over the wood of the sill at her mate and replied, "a bit stiff, but over all good. you~?"

He shook out his fur and smiled. "I'm pretty good this morning." He looked over at her. "What are you looking at? Anything interesting out there?" he asked.

She smiled and looked down at him and said "out there? just cars, nothing as interesting, or cute, as what i'm lookin' at now"

He laughed and looked at her, winking. "What I see at the window is pretty cute to me." he smiled. "How are you feeling?" He was concerned for her well-being, and had been for a little while.

She sighed. "like i said earlier, a bit stiff, but only from not running for so long. i swear, these kits better not be too fast, cause they're makin' me slow as a slug" she joked, curling her tail around her belly

He laughed and pounced his way up to the windowsill to join his mate. "If they're too slow, I'll catch them for you." he said with a small smirk. "I'm more aerodynamic anyway." He shook his tail slightly before sitting beside Maz.

She reached down to feel the little bob on his bum, but couldn't quite reach. She looked down to her belly and huffed, "is it normal for a queen's belly to be this big?"

He laughed and nudged her stomach slightly with his head. "Maybe, maybe not." he said. "Maybe the more beautiful she is, the bigger her belly is when having kits."

She laughed and tapped her tail on the empty space behind her. "why don't ya hop up here with me, maxiemoo?" she offers, using his nickname.

He smiled at her, taking her offer and sitting with her, nuzzling up against her and licking her cheek softly. "I'd love to." he said softly.

She purred and nuzzled back, "i don't know where i'd be right now if i hadn't met you" she said then joked "scratch that, i'd be runnin' "

He smiled and joked, "And I'd probably be running around, mimicking myself."

She smiled and gave his chin a quick lick, "daw, but i couldn't be happier to sit still for days, bearing our lovely kittens~"

He smiled, giving the top of her head a lick. "I bet they'll be as lovely as their mother." he said softly.

He smiled, also blushing, before looking out the window as well. "I wonder what they'll look like." he said. "Hopefully they have long, beautiful tails like their mother."

"or be little speed demons with their father's bobtail~" she joked, careful to laugh lightly for her kit's sake. "so, how many do you think there'll be?"

He chuckled, then tilted his head. "I'm not sure," he responded, "but I hope that there will be at least two. How many do you think there'll be?"

She sighed, "3, 4, maybe 5 if we're lucky~" she then realized something. 'this will hurt... alot...' she thought

He noticed she was thinking and gave her a quick lick of comfort. "That would be nice." he said. "A nice, big family."

She smiled, "oh, thank goodness though that it's not happenin' no-" she broke off, doubling over. Her eyes were wide and scared, silently crying out 'HELP ME'. She felt it, her luck she jinxed the wait. They were coming~

He looked at her out of worry and concern. "W-what's wrong?" he said, his voice shaky. 'It can't be happening NOW.' he thought, getting up to help her however she needed it.

She looked at him and moaned "they come... now...". She attempted to push herself back from the sill's edge, but Maxie was behind her. She felt terrible, but tried to hide it, only showing it in her eyes.

His eyes were full of concern and worry, moving out of her way and jumping in front of her. He was worried and concerned, not sure what to do, but stayed with her, trying to comfort her.

She got to the back and shifted to her side. She gave him a weary smile and told him to sing the song she sang to him so long ago."the lullaby~"she rasped

He stopped, and nodded, beginning the song. "When each star shines with the blue moon's light and sweet nothings fill the wind's whispers..." he sung softly so she could hear him.

She smiled, his voice made it it seem that the the pain lessened, but still hurt. A small ripple went through her, the first kit on it's way, but she continued to smile with the song.
