steps:

1) Outlining a basic tower. I didn't show it here but i started from a cylindric shape and then added bigger cylinders on top and bottom, a door and the rest. Thrown some colors and bricks on that.

2) Defined the shadow on the top. I used complementars colors for the blue of the shadow and the gray of the tower. Colored the door, added some details, colored the outline.

3) Saturated colors.

4) Totally changed the style of the bricks. I made a pattern of bricks, covered the tower with it and then edited some bricks just to make it look original.

5) Darkened the sides to make it look 3D.

6) Added a wooden floor on the top, a shadow on the bottom and made the door wooden. Dithered the shadows and worked more on the colors.

7) Changed the shadow and the door.

8) Darkened the top of the tower to blend it to the rest, improved the shadow, minor improvements
