Tegaki's html palette helps with the crazy saturation... I'm pretty organic about color- pick one I like then make sure all other colors with with it, and always limit my palette... if I want a rainbow like in the dino pic, I make sure all the colors have a similar saturation/relationship to the rest of the piece.

Hmm, I see that you're making analagous hue choices and maybe a little smidgen of something like a split complementary ... I see what you're saying about the various saturations & color limitations too. I guess I had better just go fool around with Tegaki and see what I can find myself. Thanks for the advice! :3
