I finally got around to it! I've finally made a reference sheet!My first ever... I'd love to get some feedback on things I should do or add.
The clothes... That's mainly for my buddy Temiree. He's going to draw the two of us in a picture soon. commissioned him
So I decided to come up with an outfit that would suit the time period Temiree is from.Otherwise... Well, We don't need to worry about the clothes too much. This will still be a great resource for me in the future, I think. It's nice to have things set out like this. It'll at least be a starting point!
Again, I'd love some critiques... (I do know that the heads in the different views came out slightly different size...)
Edit: ~mamei799 Just pointed out that I'm wearing shoes in this... That's correct. I'm still thinking it over. I admit it's fun to go barefoot everywhere, but is that really reasonable...?
For a 4-footed animal, sure. The weight's distributed nicely, so if you step on something, you're not going to fall over if it hurts... Whereas if you're on 2 feet, you can loose your balance if you step on something unpleasant... I don't know

Alright, first of all I want to say that I really like the choice of coloring, the inking, and the shading you put in here, it all goes together well and you look like the next Robin Hood
The only constructive critism I can poitn out is that in the first picture, the part of Red's body above his mid-stomach line seems somewhat disproportional to whats under, while thats fixed in the second, I feel that his legs got shorter. But other than that, I love the pic, kudos

Well from my highly untrained eyes I can see two things that seem wrong to me. First off is that the hand holding the sword looks like a claw and not a hand. I mean it looks like a hand but...umm like the fingers are just attached to the arm and not to wrist. You know what I mean? Well the second issue is his sword arm...on the shoulder. It seems to be sticking out to far. LIke theirs a tumor there or something. Just my little input. X3

As to the shoulder... Yeah, that little extra line in there wasn't really necessary... It does make it look funny. It's just meant to be muscular. Thanks for the help dude. I'll have to try harder next time

Great work there Red, you plan on doing any conquest these days? you got CQB (Close Quarter Battles) options with the sword and distance with the bow, a good mix.

You should let your mascot wear some hat or gear on his head!! That way, nothing will be missing (from my perspective)!! Otherwise, this is very excellent drawing!!!!

Thanks for the tip! A friend of mine originally drew a picture of my character in adventuring garb... He had a bandanna. I'm almost tempted to go back and add that in. I'm not really the bandanna type though.

I was thinking a cowboy hat or some other casual hat because bandanna isn't really my favorite gear! But, if you're going to make another pic of your mascot, I think he with a cowboy hat might look very awesome!!

Good drawing, Red; definitely from the otter's era.^^ Shoes are debatable. I don't believe any beast in the books wore shoes, (save for some abby beasts who wore sandals) though aside from that they were toes out.
