Description
This is one of the trucks that came into the museum during Thursday's reorganization of the exhibits and as such I do not know much about it as there is no signs or anything to tell the story of this truck. But from what I have been told it has an interesting history. This was the alternative to the other Mack R-600 I have photos of in my gallery. This one has a fiberglass Cab and hood but because Mack was unsure of the survivability and toughness of Fiberglass in the early days they hedged their bets and produced the Steel Cab and hood R-600 'Flintstone'

Drove one of these in the 70's, a 250 HP Mack engine with a triplex two stick transmission. What a brute.

Sweet, it don't look too much different from the 1970's and 1980's Mack R models.
