I'm very much in the game, and Pres. Obama is less "socialist" than the Bush administration has been proven to be corporate fascism.
What's the deal, is President Obama stepping on your rice bowl? Do you make your living off the theft and excess of the health insurance industry, or are you hooked into some weapons company that will only turn a profit so long as American lives are being wasted for political gain? A motive for your malice against the man is spectacularly missing. And don't give me your standard run of "socialism" crap... What do you think should happen in order to return them to being productive citizens? What should be done about the welfare situations? Both of them? Bullshit and propaganda won't change anything, even if the people were to be stupid enough to believe the lies a second time in one generation (they won't). What should happen?
Now hippies, that gets off into an entire different realm... hippies love nature, they don't usually fight, they'd rather stay stoned and fuck to pass their time, they don't need to base their ego on materialism. Most of 'em work low level menial jobs and find their satisfaction in life somewhere else. Is it their lack of materialism that is troublesome to you, that they can't be enslaved by things the way the conservative establishment types are enslaved to hide from their own inner sterility, or is it their love of sex and nature that galls the sterility in a conservative's soul? no, the evil is that when people buy stock in a corporation (any corporation) what they are essentially buying is the surplus productivity of other men, the exact same thing you are buying when you buy a slave.. The dependence on the slave is what weakens the master class, erodes their motive to personal competence... essentially, turns them into what you would likely call "liberal pussies!" Look at the great cultures of antiquity, particularly Rome. The slaves didn't get weaker, they got stronger! It was the masters that degraded... why?
