" For three seasons now we've had to watch our Pups.Intently keeping our eyes wide for the signs of danger looming in the shadows of the forest.
The two hundred pound Cougar something to be weary of, be cautious of, be leery of.
Even in the warmth of summer it stalks our Young Ones.
Even when deer and bird and hare are plentiful, it creeps low in the bushes and waits until our eyes are turned, our senses elsewhere.
Like he is intentionally hunting us, plotting how to end our future.
This cannot be accepted, this cannot continue... We will not see this Panther come the Winter.
Only in his Hide and Bones shall we see him.... what left of him. "

The short story explaining the picture is wonderful. Any picture that I can look at and see a story is that much more captivating.

I showed the picture to a few friends and they all seemed to be kinda 'awww, why'd he kill a kitty' and I just kept feeling kinda -___- about it.
I hate having to explain my art... so I thought a sort of little story like I did for .Showing You to the World. redwolfmoon.deviantart.com/art… .. might make it a little more well recieved. Thus Far- Holding true

...Wow. This is some beautiful artwork. I'm not even sure what to say, it's just amazing!
I especially love the background -- it's simple enough not to distract from the main focus, but it's just detailed enough to be believable as a realistic forest setting!
