I actually had an idea for a truly original Final Destination opening:
A Mall.
No, not the crappy one from FD4, but a different four-story tall area.

What would happen??? For the opening scene? It has to be something huge for the opening. Personally, I love the 2nd movie opening. I would never look at a truck with trunks the same way again. Mmmmm, I try to imagine something in a mall but I can't get off my mind that escalator scene...

Something like the workers in the first death falling into a livewire-tapped hockey/skating rink and the body bursting into a cloud of blood. A kiosk advertising a household cleaning material crossing chemicals and making a deadly chemical cloud slowly melt the flesh off the hostesses skull. Screaming still audible even after completely losing her face.

Oh, wow, I can't understand every little detail because I don't master the language but that thing of the skull screaming without flesh is impressive!!!

The architecture has a few major flaws and the air ducts overheat, causing several people inside to complain about humidity levels. Pressure cookers in one of the cafeteria restaurants goes unstable and explodes as someone stands close looking away, launching him through a wall and an undetected electrical fire. >8D

Yeah, while I don't consider these films good by a story standpoint, they are strangely entertaining... though I kinda wish I'd seen the first one at a better time. See, I saw it after having my foot run over by a car, and I'm sure you know which scene makes me wish I hadn't seen the film after that event.
